Henry's eyes shot open as he woke up. He was in his room and Vanny was asleep. It must be a little after dinner time before he was kidnapped. What was the last thing Henry was doing before he woke up?

Oh yeah, he was Fleeing the Complex. He should be thanking Delara for the boost, but if this is before the airship so wouldn't telling Delara about the complex ruin the chances of her being there? God, Henry wished that he had better control over this.

Oh well. At least he knows that he and/or Vanny are not getting sold to the black market. Henry decided that this time, he'll just go peacefully so that he can see the face of who will be taking care of his daughter.

Henry picked up Vanny and held her as she slept soundly wrapped in the blanket she came in while holding her bunny and a part of Henry's shirt. He could hear someone coming up the stairs.

The door opened.

"Rupert."

"Oh. You're awake..."
Henry signed.
"Huh. Well, that makes my job easier. Fine. I'll show you who'll be watching your daughter. Come."

Henry followed Rupert out of the house. Oh, there's Puffball.

"Ass," said Henry as he stared Puffball down.

"It's the government," he responded. "What did you expect?"

"A h-h-heads up!"

"Henry, the government wants you."

"GEE, I DIDN'T NOTICE."

Rupert snickered as he opened the car. Two gentlemen were inside and a baby seat sat between them.

"These are the Bukowskis. Calvin and Konrad. They will be watching over your daughter and will be returning her to you when you're done."

Two blonde boys with the aura of sunshine stared at Vanny as their eyes filled with delight.

"She's so cute," said the one closest to Henry. I suppose on the left side of the baby seat. "I just wanna pinch her little cheeks."

"I wanna hold her, too," said the other twin.

Henry felt like he could trust them to watch his daughter, but...

"W-why can't my friend w-w-watch my girl?" he asked Rupert.

"We originally were gonna have your friend watch her here at home, but the one who planned this mission was against it," he replied as he got in a different car with Henry in the shotgun. "She kept insisting that we take your daughter and friend with us and, in theory, hold them hostage so you obey us."

Henry suddenly felt a blade against his neck making his blood run cold.

"Oi, don't kill him, Delara," commented Rupert as he started the car.

"I won'. I'm jus' lettin' 'im know dat 'e will *NOT* disobey us or else dere will be blood," she replied. "Da past is never dead; it's not even past, ya know? At leas' dat's 'ow it be fer us, me t'inks. I may 'ave been a Toppat fer a bit, but I'll make sure dat ya take 'em down one way or 'notha."

Henry stayed silent as they left... Do not disobey the government... Got it...

The moment he got on Charles' chopper, Delara put a pair of glasses on him which also went into his ears. She told him that he now has bombs in his ears and if he betrayed the government again or tried to remove them...

Man, Henry felt old as he was strapped to the sticky hand and was launched to the end of the loading docks. Ooooooo, gold safe. Surely, that has something good.
