Henry gasped and woke up in a cold sweat. His back hurt a little and he was back at The Wall with Delara staring at him with her blue and red eyes.
"You good?" she mouthed. Henry was brought to tears as he hugged her.
"I got a plan," he whispered in her ear. "I need your help. Please. You hate me, I know, but please. I swear, I will never abandon you again, but please. Please."
Delara was taken aback by this sudden attitude.
"Aldight, I guess," she replied.
Henry "let go" of her and motioned for the vent above. He freed his hands and then lowered the ladder with him hanging off it. Delara jumped towards Henry who grabbed her cuffed hands and helped her up. She too broke her hands free.
"Thank you," she replied before blankly staring in his general direction. She eventually blinked as she held her head. "You... you have my daughter and... died for her?"
"Yes, but we can't stay here," said Henry. The fact that he wasn't stuttering was blowing his mind, but he didn't have time to ponder on that. "Let have to go. Follow me."
As the two went through the vent as Henry spilled everything to Delara. From how he first met Vanny to why he left Delara behind. Whatever anger Delara had toward Henry seemed to fade quickly as Henry told her what had happened between timelines.
"You are such a fucking moron," Delara chuckled.
"I know, I know!" Henry said as he held Delara's hand. "But I won't give up until I know that... your daughter is safe!"
"Haha! I admire your stubbornness for Vanny!" Delara chuckled. "Ha, I wish you were her biological father. You make for a much better man than the ass who technically would've been her dad."
"What happened to him, anyway?"
"Shot dead on sight. I decided to keep the baby and the moment I saw my daughter, it was amazing."
"I'm... sorry that you were sexually assaulted while in prison..."
"Don't be, I've lost my mental state to care about that YEARS before I was even sentenced!"
Delara should not be proud of that.
"Oh, look! Light!"She and Henry popped their heads out of the vent and hid behind some boxes. They can distract, synchronize takedown, become taller, or... jump?
Synchronized takedown!
Delara chuckled.
"Nicely done, Hen!"
Henry nodded.
"Aldight. We gots ta get ya up an' over... I got an idea if you're up fer it."Henry smiled as he cracked his neck.
"What did you have in mind?"
"I feel like I'm supposed ta lift ya, but I don't possess the ability ta do that... I DO have da smarts ta calculate da proper throw ta get you up dere. Do ya accept my proposal?"
"Proposal? Wow, take me to dinner first," Henry snickered.
"Quit it!" Delara chuckled.
"Alright, alright. Heh heh heh. But I do accept, but please... be careful..."
"Of course, Hen."
Delara removed her plaid creamy jacket which was sizes bigger than her. Maybe they could fit together inside the jacket?
"Get in, but please be careful," said Delara. Henry did as she was told. "Dis was a gift from Charles."
"Why so big?"
"It was the only size Charles found with a color I liked," she said as she wrapped him up. "Plus, he said dat da bigger da size, da less likely I'll be ta grow outta it knowin' 'ow I fit I be an' such. Okay, when I let go and toss ya, you're gonna wanna grab da ledge. Ya get?"
"Yeah. Alright, I'm ready."
Delara started to spin quickly and let Henry fly to the top. He was a little winded, but he made it to the top of the room. Henry got inside and opened the door, but let other prisoners roam free as well.
Without skipping a beat, Henry took Delara's hand and ran into another room, but they were forced to hide behind boxes. Henry grabbed the sniper rifle and Delara grabbed the taser.
Delara didn't mean to shoot Henry, but it worked to their advantage.
With the way clear, the duo continued their escape until some guards were sitting in an elevator. As Henry hid behind the boxes, Delara wandered a bit and got something.
"Hey," she said drawing Henry's attention. "I stole des 'ats. Fixed on usin' 'em?"
Henry took one of the hats. An idea came to his mind.
"Are these hats aerodynamic?"
"In theory, all 'ats be aerodynamic. Why?"
Henry tossed the hat across the boxes which lead the guards away.
"Ha, smooth move, Hen.""Couldn't have done it like this without you, Del."
Delara looked away as she chuckled. Don't think that Henry missed the small smile she had.
The moment they got to the surface, it was pure chaos. Inmates were being chased by guards, inmates doing crazy stunts, just about anything almost every which way they looked.
As they ran holding hands, Henry suddenly lost his grip on Delara. He stopped and turned around to find Grigori holding Delara hostage.
"Henry!" she cried out. She did manage to break free, but Grigori grabbed her arm twisting it almost to the point of it breaking. "Help!"
As much as Henry wanted to kill Grigori, he heard something in the distance coming in hot. Henry made a face.
"What, you think that will upset me? Very mature -"
THUD!
Neither Delara or Henry knew what had came in hot, but it got rid of Grigori so...
"Thank you?"
"You're welcome, Delara."
"We gotta mosey, Vanny's waiting fer us!"
"Of course, but where shall we go?"
The hole in the fence? The truck? The motorcycle?
The hole looked like it leads to the edge of the cliff while no one looked like they were driving. Guess it's the bike.
Henry was the first to board the bike, but the man in charge of The Wall got to him first. Delara got on the bike, but she started the engine and left...
Henry's heart sank as he turned his attention to the asshole; not that he was paying any attention to what he was saying... He was considering throwing in the towel, but an engine was getting closer.
"STOP IT!" yelled Delara as she hit him in the face with a stop sign. "An' fuck you too."
Henry chuckled at Delara's joke as he took her hand.
"Why da relief?" she questioned. "Ya thought I'd leave ya fer dead?"
"A little," he replied as he got up and got behind Delara. He held her tightly and buried his head into her neck. "I'm glad I took you with me, Delara."
Delara smiled as she revved the engine.
"Me too, Hen. Now let's boogie."
With that being said, they jumped the wall and were on the road to god knows where. Only time will tell as Henry held on to Delara tightly refusing to let her go again.
