Somehow Derek manages to get Stiles home without waking the Omega. He had made some distressed noises, only for Derek to be able to soothe him back to sleep, relieved that nightmares didn’t appear to be tormenting the Omega based on the subsequent purring noises the man made as he nuzzled into Derek’s chest.

Driving with Stiles in his lap had proved tricky, if also illegal, but it had been worth it to keep the Omega calm.

Once home Derek settles Stiles down on his bed, surrounding him with blankets that scent of both Derek and Isaac to help soothe the Omega’s mindset. Derek also gathers Isaac’s stuffed fox Stiles and places it in the Omega’s arms for additional comfort.

Knowing he needs to get to work and make some calls in order to help set in motion whatever Jackson has managed to arrange, he moves to leave. He stops however at a sound of contentment and smiles when he sees Stiles snuffle at the fox and snuggle it close, inhaling the soothing pheromones of their pup. What better way to calm an Omega than to play into those maternal nurturing instincts.

Once Stiles starts purring again, stuffed fox pressed snuggly under his chin, Derek leaves the room and goes to his office, ensuring to leave all the doors open so that if Stiles needs him he will hear him instantly.

Speaking to Laura it’s clear that Jackson didn’t waste any time in both getting them up to speed and getting the wheels in motion. Erica had jumped at the chance to tail Deucalion and his colleagues. As a matter of fact, after seeing Stiles’ reaction earlier, she had surreptitiously, with Danny’s aid, taken the time to place trackers and bugs on each of their cars before any official orders had come. This had ensured that when the Alpha’s had left the meeting if anything was up, which it clearly was, then they would have a easy means of tracking them.

Ordinarily this would have been a total breach of ethics, however given the circumstances Erica's initiative was more than likely going to result in a commendation for such quick thinking.

Laura had confirmed that Peter had been called in and appropriately briefed. Everyone had been in agreement that his particular expertise were what was required in this instance.

Peter was all to happy to flex his specialist muscles. The means and opportunity for him to use the full range of his wet work and torture skills being something that was kept to the bare minimum for extreme and rare cases only. Peter operated like a ghost, he could never be tied to Hale’s Angels despite his Hale surname. He was off grid, presumed dead and that worked well for his particular skill set.

This meant however that he rarely got to see his nieces and nephews (well that they knew of, it didn’t stop him from using said skills to keep tabs on them after all). He had however had the opportunity to meet Stiles a couple of times since Stiles had been working at the company. His words to Derek after his first meeting of the Omega had been simple and succinct “you better keep him happy Nephew or I’ll have your hide”.

Derek who was more used to hearing disdain about any and all employees outside of the Hale’s themselves from his uncle's lips had agreed wholeheartedly, whilst also being equal measures proud and slightly disturbed at his uncle’s words. Peter was the only parental type figure he had left after all, so his opinion mattered more than Derek cared to say.

Much to Derek’s displeasure Laura had forbade Derek from getting involved in the operation itself, proclaiming him too compromised to be of assistance, stating that he would more than likely put others at risk due to how desperate he would be to take out any and all Alpha’s involved in the operation, no doubt ending up disregarding protocols if appropriately provoked.
