In a realm beneath the boundless sea, Where waves whispered secrets, oh so free, Lived a mermaid pure, with a heart so true, Enchanted by love, her spirit grew.

She yearned for a world beyond the tides, Where humans danced beneath the skies, A chance encounter, fate's grand design, A prince she glimpsed, a love divine.

With voice surrendered, a deal was made, Her enchanting song for a form portrayed, Legs replaced her graceful tail, On land, she walked, love to unveil.

A love unspoken, a silent ache, She sacrificed her voice for his sake, But in the depths of her soul, she knew, Her power lay within, strength anew.

Yet fate took a twist, in the story's fray, No tragic end, but a different way...
