Chapter 9

After leaving Chad, Rose searched the whole school looking for Shana. after a moment, she was this close to give up, because she figured that maybe she left for today. To her surprise, she was outside by the school's lunch tables, talking to her classmate from cooking class, Victoria.

"Shana!" Rose called out. Trying to get the girl's attention, quickly walking towards her.

I'll talk to you later Victoria. Shana replies to the light skinned brunette girl before walking away, ignoring the redhead girl.

"Shana!" Rose shouted walking behind her in a faster pace.

"I don't want to talk to you, Rose. You said enough this morning." Shana started. Suddenly, she felt a hand on her shoulder turning her around.

"Look, I'm sorry about earlier. I shouldn't have gone off on you like that. And I'm sorry I hung up the phone on you." Rose looked into Shana eyes, and she could tell Shana wanted her to continue. 

"The reason why I snapped at you...yesterday, something happened. Something really bad. I never thought I never see him again."

Shana had a confused look on her face, and ask her, "See who again?"

Rose looked up at her friend and replied, "Sean's back."

Shana's eyes widen at the response. "Oh, hell no Rose! I knew it was him!"

"He showed up at the school yesterday." Rose continued. "We were in the hallway, and he was trying to convince me that he loved me and wants me back... at the same time, forcing himself on me against the wall. Chad came out of the classroom concerned, and Sean ran away. Chad took me somewhere away from the school. He bandaged my wrist..."Rose paused lifting up her slightly bruised hand, showing Shana.

"Oh my god, Chad is involved in this too?! Does he know what happened to you-"

"No!" Rose cut her off before she said anything else. "I didn't tell him anything. The only thing he knows that he is an ex-boyfriend of mine. Nothing else."

"But Rose, we have to tell someone! Your parents -"

"No!" Rose cut her off again. "They cannot find out. If they did, they would lose it. We have to keep this between us."

"How?! This is really huge, Rose. The way you describe him. How can you keep this a secret?! Plus, from the way you speak of him, you are not only putting yourself in danger, But Chad and everyone else at East High!".

"Look, you don't know Shawn like I do. He has been into trouble before. Trust, he doesn't want to be locked up again." Shana said nothing. Just looked at her with concerned eyes.

"Promise you won't say anything what happened to me to Noone. Especially Chad...about what happened to me," Rose pleaded with her. "Shana- promise me-"

"Okay," Shana agreed. "I won't say anything to anyone. I promise."

"Hey Troy. Sorry I'm late. Chad replied, a little out of breath as he walked into the gym.

"About time you showed up. We were about to start without you, "Jason teased him.

"Yeah? and watch all of y'all ass lose by less of a minute. You know as well as Troy you can't win without me."

"Aww so cocky," Zeke replied sarcastically, causing Jason to burst out laughing.

"Ok enough with the jokes." Troy replied to them. "We wasted enough time. Let's get started." The brown-haired boy looks over at his best friend. Waiting for him to say...
