Lotus abyss, a Kingdom where equanimity, tranquility and serenity prevailed. A kingdom which burgeoning thriving  prosperity unfurled. The preliminary of two dyads unwind.

The sun had just set in lotus abyss. Today was the lantern festival and the coronation of the prince.

Amidst all this preparedness a cloaked figure was seen walking gallantly amongst their midst unnoticed.

After the coronation ceremony it was time for the congratulatory bow.

"The crowned prince has emerged" the commentator called out. Everybody in the hall bowed down immediately the Royal trumpet sounded.

Prince lu xu yi  the crown the prince sat across from his mother a neutral expression across his face.

The drinks and meals, were being served, he watched all the maids closely, one of the maids was clumsy and she seemed uncomfortable and her movements were hasty.

He thought she was new here or rather,didn't like being in public he brushed it away.

He took his own osamanthus wine and raised it up before speaking. "Cheers to a prosperous empire and great leadership" he finished speaking and downed his wine.

As the taste of the wine hit his tongue he moaned in satisfaction. Osamanthus wine was rarely used even in the Imperial city, because it was located at the far east of lotus abyss it was produced by the ye clan.

Prince lu xu yi started feeling uneasy. His stomach constricting, at first he thought it was a normal reaction to the wine, not until he coughed up blood, a sharp pain invaded his organs making him to moan in pain.

Everybody at the table stood up at alert. Prince lu xu yi's vision began to go blurry, as he made feeble attempts to stand up.

" someone" emperor Qing yi roared in anger his son's life was being threatened.  A royal servant came forward waiting to receive the king's order.

"Get physician xu to come here and commander wu yuwian to come here immediately" emperor Qing yi commanded the servant as he walked into his private chambers.

Commander wu yuwian came running forward in no time he went down on his knees before the king.

"Have failed my duty to protect the heir. Please punish me your lordship. I'm willing to accept any punishment for my incompetence" commander Wu yuwian said bowing in shame.

"Commander wu yuwian at ease" Emperor Qing yi commanded. Commander wu yuwian stood up immediately waiting for the emperors order.

"Get all the chefs and maids responsible for the meal prepared today here" Emperor Qing yi commanded with clenched teeth.

All the maids and chefs responsible for the occasion was present except one. They were brought forward for questioning but no one admitted to the crime of attempting to kill the Crown Prince.

Except for one of the maids who said, she could draw out the picture of the suspect the remaining ones were held in the empire's prison.

"Commander wu take her to the strategies room have her draw out the suspect's face and have people paste it all over the city, till after the traitor is captured the whole empire, should be on lock down. After that is done report back to me" Emperor Qing yi said in dismissal.

After the task assigned to him commander wu yuwian reported back to the Emperor in his chambers.

"Have someone secretly investigate, cangwu abyss I have a feeling they have a hand in this matter and report back to me immediately you discover anything fishy" Emperor Qing yi concluded as he left the hall to go and check on his son.

Immediately he entered the prince's chamber, physician yu ran up to him, and started speaking fast.

"Your highness was poisoned with nux vumica the poison has been extracted from his body, but he will need a few days to recuperate as the poison has already entered his lungs. Had I not acted fast we would have lost crown Prince" physician you concluded making way for the Emperor.

"Empress xuelu sat there holding prince lu xu yi's hand, she was sobbing loudly.

The Emperor patted her back and whispered sweet words to her, when she managed to calm down he looked at his son.

his face has lost color his lips now chapped, his skin pale.

Now he had no doubt it was cangwu abyss empire that had plot against his son, only the cangwu abyss empire had that kind of poison, and only the Royal family could have it in their possession, as it was used to accomplish a deadly mission.

"Cangwu abyss would pay dearly for this". Emperor Qing yi concluded through clenched teeth.
