At this point, the kids are seated collectively in an empty classroom wearing their pajamas. The middle seat was occupied by Y/N. In between Ji Hoon and Yu-Jeong, Jang-Soo stood with both hands on the chair's back and leaning against it. Soo Cheol, who had his head popping out the door, made sure no one was around. "Okay," Soo Cheol says, closing the door behind him. "The coast is clear. We're free to talk." Soo Cheol tells the rest, sitting with his friends. "Must we stay like this?" Joon Hee speaks up, looking at the rest. "We don't have any other option." Yeon Joo answers, "Darn it." Joon Hee mutters under her breath. "Honestly, I don't believe that our parents went to the shelter." Joon Hee admits "What if they lied to make us stay?" Joon Hee states looking around.
"As if the platoon commander..." So Yeon starts, but stops to look at everyone. "He isn't one to lie." So-Yeon finishes looking down at her hands. "I want to believe him, but I don't trust anyone anymore." Young-Shin says earning small nods from several people. Suddenly, Young-Shin stood up. "Let's confirm it ourselves." Young-Shin announces. "How stupid are you?" Bo-Ra says as she looks up at the boy with a disgusted expression. "We can't call, and the Internet is down." She adds with her arms crossed.
Tae-Man was seated at the end of the table. He leaned back on his chair as a smirk spread across his face. "And that is your limit. Of course, we can still communicate." Tae-Man starts getting everyone's attention. "Is there a way to contact them?" Joon-Hee asks. Tae-Man stands up, trying to act cool. "What do we have a lot of in school?" Tae-Man asks the students in front of him. "I don't know." Soon-Yi whispered, turning to look at her friend.
"Pigeons." Tae-Man states, Everyone sighs in disappointment. "We'll tie a note around their legs and..." Tae-Man started explaining but was interrupted by Young-Shin. "Someone shut him up." Young-Shin says, looking down at the floor.
II-Ha, who was standing next to Tae-Man, placed his hand on Tae-Man's shoulder so he could sit down. "Let's rewind it a few steps." Young-Shin starts. "We have no other option but to confirm it ourselves." Young-Shin announces. Jang-Soo lifted his head. "Here. I'll go." Jang-Soo raises his hand. "Kimchi, shouldn't you go as well?" Bo-Ra asks. "Me? Why me?" Chi-Yeol asks, confused. "Your house is the closest. It's the easiest place to confirm." Bo-Ra explains as everyone nods in agreement. "But.." Chi-Yeol starts. "Chi-Yeol will come with." Jang-Soo states.
"Deok-Joong." Young-Shin calls out. "Yes?" Deok-Joong answers. "Our house is far away." Deok-Joong explains not wanting to tag along. II-Ha wrapped his arm around his shoulder. "Y/n?" Jang-Soo calls out, looking down at the girl below him. "Yes?" Y/n responded. "You should tag along, just in case." Young-Shin says shortly

The students were now inside the bathroom. Chi-Yeol was looking out the door, making sure the soldier was still sleeping. He slowly closed the door and walked towards his friends. "We'll break out from here." Young-Shin states, Referring to the window. "What?" Deok-Joong asks. "How can one go through there?" Deok-Joong says surprised. "Jang-Soo and I won't be able to manage." Deok-Joong starts. "So I'm off." He finishes slowly walking to the door but is grabbed by the shirt.
Young-Shin placed his hand on Deok-Joong's shoulder. "This is a school of history and tradition. What could I mean by that?" Young-Shin asks, making Deok-Joong look around confused. Young-Shin smacks his head. "Why.." Deok-Joong starts. "It's old. Watch." Young-Shin says.
Jang-Soo walked closer to the window. He tried to open the window, but it made a loud noise. "Careful!" The students whispered. Jang-Soo tried once again and finally opened it. "Darn it." Chi-Yeol says, instantly going to the door. He opened it to see the soldier still asleep.
Jang-Soo slowly placed the bars on the ground. "Wow." Y/N says in shock. Jang-Soo opened the window, lifting himself up and slowly climbing out. He jumped onto the building in front of the school. He lost balance, quickly turning around and placing his hands on the wall.
