Hi there! The Oc in this story is Marly Divata, a self-insert! She is a Filipina cellist, and is a Burmese/Puspin mix! Her backstory and full bio can be found on my Lackadaisy Rp book, I don't wanna put it all here since one, it's quite long, and two, all of Marly's backstory will be covered in here, and if you don't really want some minor spoilers, you don't have to read her backstory, as said before, it will be covered in the story! Also, I'll add some Marly art when I actually finish it aha
Note that this story starts well before the pilot, and starts when all of the characters are young, and when it begins it takes place in New York. Chapters will always start with the date at the top, so don't worry about trying to figure it out yourself!
Do know that this will be a slow burn, as Mordecai isn't the best when it comes to these sorts of things, and it will take time for Marly to get to know him. But I may skip a few days/weeks and not write out every single little day and thing that happens in this story to prevent all of us (including me) to go insane.
Please do know that this story may include some sensitive topics at some chapters in the story. The main sensitive topic that will be mentioned will be Asian hate. In the time period that this story takes place, Asian immigration was very much limited, and those who were able to get into the USA may have been ridiculed for who there were. While I will try to keep this topic to a minimum, it will be mentioned, as the main character (and my self-insert) Marly, is Filipina, with a bit of Chinese mixed in. Know that I, the author myself, am Asian (Filipina w/ a bit of Chinese), and I have received some hate for who I am in school in the past year. Chapters that do have this topic will mention that it includes it at the top, so feel free to skip these parts if wanted <3
