Love And Family

Parvati opens her eyes when, as usual routine, the set alarm in her mobile rings to wake her up a few minutes before Shekhar to give him milk very early in the morning.

She sits up on the bed, resting her back against the bed headboard.

She hopes Suyash is awake by now and looks after Shekhar.

On the other hand, Shekhar gets down from his bed rubbing his eyes. Early morning hunger has woke him up. He goes to ParYash's room.  Fortunately the door isn't locked, he pushes open the door and finds his papa still sleeping.

"Papa, utho," Shekhar says, climbing on the bed and shaking Suyash. "Papa, utho, bhook lagi hai."

When his papa doesn't wake up and appears to be in deep sleep, Shekhar becomes sad and crawls out of the bed.

Suyash opens his eyes after Shekhar has left his room and feels a little bad for Shekhar, but he has to ignore him so that Parvati comes back home. He knows that at the moment she is really upset with him and maybe she will not come back if he asks, but she will never ignore Shekhar.

Shekhar looks at nani's room which is downstairs, the door is closed, and he wants to wake up his badi nani, but he remembers his mumma's words where she has said to him to never disturb badi nani whenever she is sleeping because elderly people need rest.

His face lights up as an idea comes to his mind, he goes running to his room and pulls out his school Id card which has Parvati's mobile number. He takes it and comes downstairs to the main hall to make a phone call to his mumma.

Oscar and Milo jump at him, wagging their tails and giving him kisses, which annoys Shekhar as he desperately wants his mumma back. "Oscar, Milo, hatho…" He pushes them a little. "Mujhe mumma ko call karne do."

When his buddies calm down, he dials Parvati's number.

Parvati is lying in bed but she isn't able to sleep, worrying about Shekhar, and looks at her mobile when it rings. Iss waqt ghar se phone? She wonders, and picks up the call.

"Hello…"

Shekhar smiles, hearing Parvati's voice, and says, "mumma, aap ghar kab aa rahi ho? Mujhe bhook lag rahi hai…"

Parvati sits up, surprised, and she is angry at Suyash. Doesn't he know Shekhar wakes up at this time feeling hungry and likes to drink milk? How can he be such a careless father?!

"Tumhare papa uthe nahi?" She asks.

"Nahi mumma, papa so rahe hai," Shekhar replies, "aap ghar aa jao na please, mumma, mujhe bahut bhook lagrahi hai. I miss you, mumma."

Parvati's heart goes out to him. Her eyes wells up in tears and she cannot resist herself going back to her home. "Haan, baby, main bas abhi thodi der mein ghar aa rahi hoon," she says which brings a huge smile on Shekhar's face, and he says, "come home soon, mumma."

He puts the telephone receiver down and says, petting Oscar and Milo, and smiling, "mumma ghar aa rahi hai."

Suyash standing near the railing has been listening to Shekhar from the first floor and feels glad knowing Parvati is coming back home. He heads back to his room happily.

Parvati quickly gets ready, brushes her teeth, splashes water on her face and hurriedly wears a saree. When she comes to Mehra mansion, she finds Shekhar sitting on the sofa, he looks sad, but his face lights up as soon as he sees her.

"Mumma!"

Shekhar comes running to her, and she goes on her knees to engulf him in a tight, warm and affectionate hug.
