A mixture of frustration, anger, arousal and jealousy surely wasn't the best combination. I shouldn't have let it get this far, the second I saw that little boy get so close to her I should've done more than just talk.
I should've showed her exactly how it made me feel. Every time she rolled those pretty brown eyes at me I should've bent her over my lap and taken all of these pent up emotions out on her fat ass. I wouldn't have stopped until she was a sobbing, squirming mess.
These feelings were foreign to me and I suppose that's what frustrated me even more. To wander in unfamiliar territory, the unknown. It felt like I was walking in pure darkness, unable to see what was right in front of me.
I've liked women before, been attracted to them. I've even been in relationships but nothing felt like this. I didn't even know how to describe it. I was consumed by Aaliyah. Every inch of my being, every atom, every nerve — belonged to her.
I constantly yearned for her, I wanted to make her mine and not just have her utter those words to me. I wanted it to be official. I craved it.
The thought of another man ending up with her made my blood boil, I clenched my jaw and breathed out — trying to maintain my composure.
I was seated in my car, waiting for Aiden to bring Aaliyah outside and escort her to his vehicle. She was under the impression that I had left — at least that's what I told Aiden to tell her. It was the only way she would willingly leave this event without being stubborn.
With my head leaned back against the top part of my seat, I gazed mindlessly into the distance — allowing all of the thoughts swirling around in my mind to swallow me whole.
What happened to me tonight was definitely a first. In the past I just didn't care enough about a woman to react in this manner, yes I may have always been the jealous type but it was never to this extent.
I noticed the way every man in the room dropped what they were doing to look at my girl, some of which broke their necks to get a peek of her undeniable beauty.
Yes it wasn't her fault and it wasn't as if she did anything to provoke them but who else was I going to take my frustrations out on? I could go back in there and beat the shit out of someone but that wouldn't make a difference.
My hands were placed on the steering wheel and I gripped it tightly, sighing as I sank lower into my seat. My plan for this year was simple, I'd work at the university until the end of the year and then next year I was supposed to relocate to a new city.
Then this woman came crashing into my life and all of my plans had been tossed upside down. It felt like a tornado, moving from one point to the next and destroying everything in its path.
When we arrived at the event I parked my car right in front so we could easily get to it if we wanted to leave but because little miss attitude decided to be stubborn I had to put my plan into motion.
So I moved my car right to the back of the parking lot, ensuring it was out of her view once she was outside. She couldn't see me but I could see her.
I noticed two figures in the distance and immediately knew it was my woman and Aiden, the colour of her dress instantly caught your attention and I guess that's why everyone looked at her tonight. Who was I kidding? They looked at her because she was absolute perfection.
It was already dark out and the lights in the parking lot area weren't the brightest but even in the terrible lighting I could still clearly see the frown on her face. Her eyebrows were furrowed and she was using hand motions while she spoke to my best friend — she was definitely pissed.
What I'd give to hear that conversation. She should've known better though, I told her I wouldn't leave without her.
Once they drove off and five minutes had passed by I started my car, the engine humming to life. I exited the area and drove at a reasonable speed, not wanting to accidentally end up right behind them — or even worse, next to them.
The road was fairly busy while I drove in silence. Every time I came to a stop I'd tap my thumbs against the steering, trying to distract myself from all of the thoughts and emotions that plagued not only my mind but my body and soul.
When I asked Aiden to help me with my devious plan and he reluctantly agreed, I handed him the spare key to my house. Before I left earlier I turned on most of the lights which worked to my advantage.
Now when Aaliyah arrived she would be under the impression that I was already there. Twenty minutes later I pulled up in front of my house and could feel a rush of adrenaline whipping me in the face.
The sound of blood rushing through my body was loud and then interrupted by the clicking noise of the handbrake before I turned the car off. When I got out of the car the air was crisp against my heated skin and a shiver ran through my body.
While walking towards my front door I shrugged my suit jacket off, my steps feeling heavy as excitement buzzed in my system.
When I opened the door the first thing I noticed from where I stood was that the door to my office was slightly ajar and the light was turned on. I just knew Aaliyah was in there because I hardly made use of it so the door was always closed.
I quietly closed the door behind me, locked it and then took large strides to my office — instantly getting the scent of her delicious perfume.
Upon opening the door she had her back facing me as she stared at the array of different books on my shelf, she was looking up and was too engrossed in what was in front of her to notice my presence.
"Have you been looking for me amore?" My voice echoed in the spacious office and Aaliyah quickly turned around, placing a hand on her chest and sighed loudly.
With fury in her eyes and a frown on her face she spoke sternly, her voice dripping with malice and attitude. "Obviously, you said you wouldn't leave without me. So please explain to me why I had to be dropped off here by your friend."
I took a step inside the office and slammed the door shut, almost laughing when she jumped after hearing the banging noise.
A low chuckle left my lips and I hooked two fingers in the top part of my tie, loosening it as I took slow steps towards her. "I didn't leave without you, it was just a little white lie."
She eyed me, watching my hand movements and took steps backward until her back hit the bookshelf. "So you're a liar Gio?"
When I was a metre away from her, I placed my hands in my pockets and licked my lips. "No." I retorted. "Now take off that pretty dress for me baby and once it's off I want you bent over my fucking desk." When she didn't move and stared at me with wide eyes I spoke again. "Now."
