LEE HOUSEHOLD
After arriving home, Nayeon was feeling tired and decided to rest before studying for her upcoming exam. Upon entering the house, she encountered her stepfather in the bar area. She tried to avoid any interaction with him by continuing to walk, but unfortunately was unable to do so.
"Hey, how was school?" her stepdad inquired, curious about how her day went.
Nayeon forced a smile and replied, "It was nice. There were many friendly people." However, she did not wish to prolong the conversation.
Her mother arrived just in time, and she took the opportunity to retreat to her room so as not to draw attention from both of her guardians. Her mother looked at her with a perplexed expression while her stepdad assisted her mother with the items she was carrying.
Nayeon began studying in her bedroom, determined to catch up on her lessons as quickly as possible. Despite her teachers' reassurances, she felt overwhelmed by the amount of work she needed to do, especially with the added pressure of having demanding parents. It was a difficult day for her./////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
June, 27- June, 30 2015; SHINING IN EXCELLENCE ACADEMY: EXAM WEEK
Every student in school is very busy because it's exam week. Others are reviewing, some are complaining, and some are panicking. Having a school with very high standards is overwhelming. Some can pass the school's standards because of their talent in arts, music, or sport but not in academics. Exams are scary for them.
Jihyo is the highest-achieving student in her level, but even she feels nervous. This school's exams are known to be of higher quality than others. Jeongyeon may not prioritize exams, but she still feels pressure. The other students can't help but pray and review their notes repeatedly before the exam. However, one student appears calm amidst it all. Im Nayeon sits in her assigned seat, which is different from the first day, and stares absentmindedly into the air.
Over the past few days, Jihyo has noticed a stark difference between Nayeon, the new girl at school, and most of the people she has encountered in her life. Every time Jihyo looks at Nayeon, she sees sadness in her eyes, which makes her want to befriend her.
After a few days, the examination week finally ends and the students receive their rankings for the second quarter. When Jihyo sees Nayeon in the main lobby, she calls out to her. However, Nayeon ignores Jihyo, who then runs faster to catch up with her.
"Hello, Nayeon," Jihyo greeted the girl as she caught up to her. However, Nayeon continued to ignore her and walked away. Jihyo persisted and caught up to her again.
Jihyo suggested to the girl, "Would you like to check out the rankings in the lobby? I can accompany you." However, Nayeon replied, "There's no need. I'm not interested in viewing the rankings. I am confident that I am one of the top students based on my exam performance."
It appears that Nayeon is uninterested in continuing the conversation, but Jihyo persists. "Would it really hurt to just take a quick look?" Jihyo asks, hoping to spend time with Nayeon. "Why don't you go be with your girlfriend instead?" Nayeon responds, growing impatient.
"I think it would be nice if we could be friends. I've noticed that you spend a lot of time alone, and it would be good for you to have someone to talk to," Jihyo said calmly. "I prefer to be alone. I don't need anyone. Please leave me alone and stop acting like a child," Nayeon replied, but then Jeongyeon suddenly punched her in the face. Jeongyeon had been eavesdropping on their conversation.
