12. Mother not so dearest

AMANDA'S POV

The next day came around and I woke up to Enid's alarm. I lift up my head to get a view of the dorm and the two other girls. Enid was slowly waking up and Wednesday, she had a pillow covering her face so that she doesn't hear the alarm of the Apple phone, I think. "Wednesday, what are you doing?" I ask, I yawn and Wednesday takes the black pillow off her face and sits up. "I was trying to think." She replied, Enid yawned and turned off her alarm. "Enid, what time is it?" I asked, I saw her look at her phone. "6 A.M." she replied as she stood up and went in the bathroom. I laid my head back down, tired. "Get up, you don't want to miss breakfast." Wednesday instructed, already dressed. I got up as Enid walked out of the shared bathroom, I used my telekenisis to grab my clothes out of lazyness and I walked into the bathroom to get ready. I stood infront of the mirror, I washed my face and did my skincare routine plus light makeup. After that I put on the familiar Nevermore uniform. I walk out of the bathroom and Enid looked at me a bit suprised. "What?" I asked, confused as to why she looked suprised. "You just used your mind to get your uniform." She said, amazed. "Oh, yea I got my superpowers. No big deal." I said casually.

After a bit of Enid and Wednesday freaking out and asking questions about my powers we headed to breakfast. I sat down on a table with my friends and girlfriend. Enid went to sit with her friends and Wednesday just sat next to me. I noticed Chapa side-eyeing her the whole time even tho she was on the other side of me. We discussed our schedules and found out we had most of the same classes. Of course me and Wednesday didn't have any classes together because I'm younger. After breakfast we went back to our dorms to get our books and our backpack. Me, Wednesday and Enid then parted ways to our classes.

Time skip because no one likes school

The last class was finally finished and I walked into my shared dorm to see it was empty, strange. I put down my bag and took out my phone to text Enid.

Weird, I thought as I look around the empty dorm. Not seeing anything out of place other than Thing reading a magazine on Enid's bed, that's normal. Wait, what Thing? "Hey Thing." I said. 'Hello Amanda.' Thing signed. "Hey if you see Enid could you tell her to text me?" I asked the hand. After getting a thumbs up I went over to Chapa and Mika's dorm. I knocked on the door and Chapa opened it. "Hey, babe." She said, a smile plastered on her face. "Hello, love." I said, she moved away signalling me to come in her dorm. I walked in and Mika wasn't there. "Uhm, where's Mika?" I asked sitting on Chapa's bed. "Oh, she's hanging with Miles in the quad." She answered, I nodded and she came and sat next to me on her bed. "I missed you." I said laying my head on her shoulder. "I missed you too." She said laying her head ontop of mine. A notification came up on my phone and it made a noise. I grab my phone out of my back pocket and look at it.

I put my phone in my back pocket again and lift my head off Chapa's shoulder. We heard a scream and I looked at Chapa in both shock and confusion. She looked back at me with the same expression. We both got up and went to the place where the screaming came from, the quad. I looked around and saw the person I dreaded most, my mother. She almost emidiantly saw me. "Amanda." She said in a crazy tone and a creepy smile on her face. I held Chapa's hand in fear staring at the woman with wide eyes. "No no no no." I whispered, still holding Chapa's hand I tried to run back inside but the door closed before I got the chance to go in. Damnit witch. I turned back around slowly, examining the quad, there were students scared and confused, but then I noticed Mika and Miles tied up and Mika had tape over her mouth, classic. That's when I saw a certain raven haired girl with twin brades, Wednesday of course. She was behind the older witch with, a small statue? She looked at me, a looked that I needed to distract her, so I did. "What are you doing here?" I demanded, God I sounded like Wednesday but I really didn't care. "You know why I'm here, sweety. I'm taking you home." She answered. Bam, the statue shattered and the witch fell to the ground unconsious.
