Jalen's pov

I woke up sore from yesterdays practice after coach had made us do so many suicides because we had lost our game the day before.
I headed to the bathroom and ran the water so it could be warm, I grab my toothbrush and brush my teeth and wash my face with my CeraVe face wash.

After I finish showering I dry off and rip apart my closet tryna find a fit to wear cuz a nigga gotta be fresh for school ya feel me? I went downstairs and I saw my mom making breakfast " good morning ma". I spoke drowsily " heyy baby how was your night?" " It was good ma, whatchu makin?" I said looking over her tryna see what's in the pot " Eggs, bacon and pancakes come get it, it's done" I happily ran my hungry ass over there and packed myself a big plate. After I finished I said bye to my ma and called Jay to tell him I'm on my way to pick him up for school.

I got in the car and called him " what nigga calling my phone so damn early " he said "damn who pissed in yo Cheerios this morning"
"stfu, I'm just so sore from yesterdays practice cause your baldheaded ass wanna make us loose the game" he spoke out raspily " first of all I ain't baldhead so watch yo mouth nigga, second I ain't loose the game nigga we all did so don't be blaming me. " I said laced with a attitude that he even brought up the game cause thinking about it just made me mad. "Damn chill I was just joking, but anyways why u call me?" "Uhuh better be jokin, but I called to tell u to hurry up and get ready cause I'm on my way to pick you up" " ok I'm already ready " " aight I'm omw" " aight" he said before ending the call

Once I got there he was waiting outside on his porch sitting down on the steps. Once he saw my car he got up and walked over to me and opened the door.

Jay's pov

I went outside after Jalen called letting me know that he's on his way to pick me up for school. I waited on the steps of my porch waiting for him, when he finally arrived I got up and went inside the car and saw how fine he was looking and licked my lips " was gud bitch" he said " was good hoe" I said and we laughed we drove to school and when we finally got there his girlfriend Simone was there. Ugh I hated that two face bitch when he wasnt there she acted like a demon when he was there she acted like a angel but she makes him happy so I just put up with her " hey baby" she said " how u doing mama" he said biting his lips " EWWW" I said loud enough for them to both hear me she turned around and said " ur just mad ur lonely" I rolled my eyes and got out and started walking away till I heard Jalen yell and say to wait for him in the bathroom so I did after like four million years he finally came and I said " damn took you long enough the bell finna ring" he then pulled out some weed and went into the big stall and and rolled up.

Once the blunt was finished we just started talking about dumb shit then he kinda got closer and we started playfully wrestling and I was on top of him and he kinda paused and started to stare at my lips and I leaned in and kissed him he kissed back for a couple seconds then pulled away and looked at me in disgust and shook his head and walked out of the bathroom.

After I realized what i was doing and that was my best friend I was kissing I pulled away and left angry at myself and him. I avoided him the rest of the day until practice came and I was the only one in the locker room then jay walked in and walked over to me but I just left

A couple weeks passed of me ignoring him and his calls and texts. When I arrived at school I saw him in the hallway looking really sad and that just didn't sit right with me so I texted him to come to practice 30 mins late so we could have the locker room to ourselves and talk...
