Goodbye

I was just walking around the forest when I saw a little toddler waddling through the forest. They looked lost and was on the verge of tears. 

I walked up to the baby and knelt down to them they looked scared of me "hello honey" I greeted the baby. The baby then smiled and started playing with my tails. I smiled and pat the babies head and they giggled. "what's your name honey" I asked "Y-Y/N" the baby said so cutely.

I smiled at the baby and picked them up and carried them. I brought them back to my house. 

"hello everyone" I greeted to my babies. All of them came running to me. "mama who's that" "mommies home" "hi mommmm" all the babies greeted. "everyone this is a new honey bunny, it's Y/N" I introduced her to the rest of the babies. "this is your home now Y/N, we will welcome you with open arms" I told them and booped them on the nose. 

years later

Her warm arms embraced me, her hug was the definition of a mothers hug. Her tail wrapped around me and I hugged her tighter. Her embrace was warm like a blanket or the sun. 

I could feel the tears brim at the sides of my eyes. She caressed my hair and like a waterfall the tears rolled down my face. 

"It's time for me to go honey" I heard her say. Her voice was silky smooth but those words sounded like gravel coming out her mouth. "One more day mama" I pleaded attempting to bargain with the truth. "This is our last day honey" She spoke as if trying to not break a thin sheet of ice. "I'm sorry honey, It's nothing you did, you know that right?" she asked. I nodded and hugged more deeply into her. "I have to go now " she spoke again. I felt numb inside but I knew it was supposed to be happy. "ok" I said and let go of her. 

She smiled down at me and kissed my forehead "I'm not going anywhere, I will always be hear" She said and smiled "this is a new chapter in my life, but you will always be with me no matter where I go" she told me her smile took all of the hurt away it was like the sun after a storm. "I love you mom, I will always remember you" I said as the last tear fell. 

She walked away across the still water with the clear sky reflecting on the water perfectly as if created a copy and paste "I LOVE MOMMMM" I yelled to her, with my voice cracking "I LOVEE YOUUUU" I yelled again. She just smiled as one tear dropped from her eye. She mouthed the words 'I love you' to me as she faded away into shiny gold glitter. 

As she faded away her one tear hit the water and it made a ripple effect. Once the ripple reached my feet A huge gust of wind hit me and blew all my hair back and I had to step back for support. With the wind I felt her warm energy and I remembered all the good times we had. I felt her warmth, I smiled once I saw what she left. It was a big cherry blossom tree with a fox sleeping wearing Nina hat, next to it was a wine bottle. "Goodbye" I smiled.

Goodbye Nina, We will always Love you, you were the best Fox mom ever, and we all appreciate you. I will miss you so much. I know wherever you go you will be great at it. You will be missed. I will drink a bottle of wine in your honor.
