(Takes place after the kiss, but sometime before Wade and Ember leave.)

Ember was a bit nervous. Her and Wade were about to have dinner with her parents. She knew how her father was and she also had a guess of what her mother was going to talk about.

Wade, being Wade, was kind of excited. He already met both of Ember's parents. Her mother was more supportive because she interpreted their love for each other. Her father, however, nearly burned Wade alive when he gave him Kol-Nuts. He also lost his temper and banned him from the store when Wade "watered down" the Kol-Nuts in a mug. Ember didn't really appreciate how he overreacted towards Wade like that.

Wade: Ember. You okay?

That snapped her out of her thoughts.

Ember: Sorry. I'm just a bit nervous.

Wade: Don't worry. I mean I'm pretty sure that me and your parents are on good terms now that I'm not banned anymore.

Ember: I know. It's just you know my Dad didn't trust other elements, especially after the Garden Central incident. And a few other reasons.

Wade: I can kind of understand that. I mean I've had to deal with a few tough elements in my life.

Ember: My mom, however, well, how do I explain this? Before I met you, my mom had a bit of a habit of asking me to find a boyfriend and get married. You know. So, I have a bit of a bad feeling about what she's going to ask us.

Wade giggled.

Wade: Don't worry. My mom asks me that, too. But if we get around to that conversation, we'll try to work it out.

Ember: Thanks, Wade. Where would I be without you?

Wade: Well, I don't think we'll ever find out because I don't think I can stay away from you, even if I tried.

Ember laughed.

Ember: Amen. I don't think I could keep myself away from you, either.

They both laughed as they made it Bernie and Cinder's new house after both of them retired after giving the shop to two of their close friends.

Wade: How's your dad, by the way?

Ember: He's feeling better. I'm glad he retired. He seems more relaxed. It's kind of a win for everyone.

Wade: I'm just glad the everything worked out.

They went in and saw that dinner was ready.

Bernie: Ember.

Ember: Ashva.

They both hugged.

Cinder: Ember.

Ember: Hi, Mom.

She hugged her mom, next.

Wade: Hey, guys.

Both: Hey, Wade.

Cinder smiled. She knew the love that they had for each other. She knew it was true love. She was just happy that Ember found someone to love.

Bernie had kind of a neutral look on his face. He still wasn't sure about Wade. He knew how much Ember loved him, but he was still water. But he didn't want to argue with his wife, again.

Flashback:

Cinder: Why can't you understand?

Bernie: He's water. I mean, how are they able to touch?

Cinder: Because of love. True love for each other. No matter the kind of element they are. I didn't believe that they could be together. But Wade found a way to light the match and what I saw in the smoke was amazing, Bernie. I could see, and smell it. It was incredible.
