Chapter 12: Battle of Midway

Sakura Empire Fleet, Pacific Ocean
IJN Suchuwaato POV

It was couple of days after the Mist City Incident that Akagi thinks it is time to strike against Azur Lane by attacking Midway so we form a largest fleet to engage the enemy. Iron Blood was order to stay behind while high rank kansens including me were deploy. I'm with Kaga as an escort for the carriers while everyone form into a protection barrier around the carriers. I look at the fleet and talk with Kaga.

Suchuwaato: "Too think we form the entire Sakura Fleet for this mission."

Kaga: "Make sure you pay attention Suchuwaato. This will be the major battle that we don't want to fail understand."

Suchuwaato: "Yes Lady Kaga and I make sure to protect Lady Akagi as well."

Kaga always beside of Lady Akagi, but never show any emotions except around Akagi. She is very attach to her. I'm going to make sure that those two are not harm during this important battle. We're making our way to the location of the battle and Akagi summon the Mirror Sea which turns the area darker. I can't see anything until it calm down and looks like another dimension, but looks like we caught Azur Lane by surprise because they arrive as well. I can see USS Stuart with the group so I'm going to deal with him, but I was stop by Kaga.

Kaga: "No Suchuwaato; we need to wait for Akagi's signal."

I nod and Akagi summon Siren Production ships into the area and the battle has commence. The Sirens ship open fire at Azur Lane until they decide to summon their rig and commence attack against the Sirens. Once the battle was over and the Siren fleet was destroyed it was time for us to move out when the Sakura Fleet arrive.

Kaga: "Suchuwaato; provide support for sister and I."

I nod and open fire my AA guns at enemy planes which Kaga pursue Enterprise while Belfast is engaging Takao which I decide to support her by dealing with Stuart.

Stuart(angry): "YOU!"

Suchuwaato: "I won't let you pass through this point. Takao; I'm going to deal with him."

She nod and combat Belfast while I deal with Stuart. We both clash into each other, but the problem is that I only got air defense, but as long I have my katana than I don't need anything else. I deflect his shells away so I can give him a hit, but he dodge it and I got smack in the head by one of his turrets. The fight continue on until I can hear someone screaming.

???: "ENTERPRISE!"

I notice Enterprise got hit by Kaga before she plummet to the water. This is going great for me because he was shock to see Enterprise to be defeated by Lady Kaga which cause me to slash his arm off with my katana.

Stuart(pain): "AAAAAAAH!"

Suchuwaato: "You should have pay attention rather get distracted and now you lost a arm."

I was about to finish him off until a light show up out of nowhere and reveal to be Enterprise that is glowing which I was confuse and shock that she survive so I decide to retreat because I feel danger coming from the light. I manage to escape from the light before it disappear.

Suchuwaato: "That was close call; I thought that light was going to get me, but good thing I'm a destroyer and not something else."

I look around and notice that everyone is gone. I start to think that they got consume by the light which means that doesn't sound good. How can I explain this to Lady Nagato that the entire fleet is gone and what was that from Enterprise? I decide to head for Sakura Empire and inform Lady Nagato about this situation and I probably by scold for this.

USS Stuart POV

I start to wake up after I pass out from losing my arm from Suchuwaato's attack; I was stupid for been distracted by that light from Enterprise. I start to get my eyes open which reveal that I'm somewhere in the icy area which I was confuse.

Stuart(confuse): "Am I in the Arctic? I thought I'm at Midway."

I start to stand up with one missing arm which is spewing out blood. I need a medical attention ASAP, but the question is where is Belfast and the fleet. How did I got here is the main question?

Stuart(pain): "BELFAST! GIRLS?"

I stand by one of the ice while my body is started to shake or worst I'm losing my strength on my legs. I continue to moving forward until I notice Javelin and Laffey who is against Ayanami until they notice me with worry look on their face.

Javelin(worry): "Stuart. What happen to your arm?"

I didn't say anything because I pass out from losing blood.

Meanwhile
Javelin POV

I notice that Stuart isn't responding and we got a enemy here, but  don't want to fight; however looks like her friends arrive to help her out before they flee. Laffey was about to say something until Belfast arrive.

Belfast: "There you are girls."

She was heading right toward us until she saw Stuart who is bleeding and lost a arm. She start to get worry about him and so we decide to head back to the fleet and hopefully it's not too late.

Belfast POV

After we capture Ayanami and recover Enterprise; we decide to head home, but we need to do this quickly because Stuart is serious wounded and he lost a lot of blood. We have everything we got until we get back to port. I stand by his side until he starts to wake up again.

Belfast(cry): "Please be okay Stuart."
