Eleven of the twelve siblings were sitting around the large table that made up their dining room as Caleb served breakfast. The morning started with the usually most alert of the siblings arriving about five minutes early. This included Clint, then Jaq, (who was only five seconds behind Clint. The two made a big deal out of it and it turned into a whole argument over who was the best at showing up on time. In Jaq's defense, he was only five seconds behind because he actually brushed his teeth, to which Clint responded, "Who in the world brushes their teeth BEFORE breakfast? What's even the point?!")

Shortly behind Jaq by just forty seconds or so was Benjamin, followed by Theo. Benjamin brought his pixl with him, despite the fact that pixls didn't really need breakfast. Most of the apprentices didn't bring their pixls to meals, but Benjamin always wanted Carrie to feel just as important as everyone else.

The next group of people to show up arrived just as breakfast started. They weren't late, but they weren't early either. This included Jean, Seymour, Rhe, and Shyama. They all arrived at the same time. Andre and Jahmar were just a few minutes late. Fifteen minutes later, Cedric rolled in.

Then, everyone waited. Caleb refused to allow food to be served until his favorite son arrived.

Fifteen minutes turned to thirty, then forty-five.

An hour and a half later, the doors to the dining room came bursting open.

"Father, I have exciting news!" Dimentio exclaimed, holding a book and taking a seat next to Caleb. Each of his siblings rolled their eyes in annoyance, but Dimentio didn't notice. He never noticed.

"What is it?!" Caleb excitedly asked, peering over at the book in Dimentio's hands, which was filled with sloppy handwriting.

"More dreams," Dimentio explained, his two golden eyes gleaming with excitement. "This time, about butterflies. Like Trivia, but different. There was a butterfly and a man and-"

"Can we save zis dream talk until after we eat our breakfast?" Jaq asked, mildly annoyed. "Zis is getting ridiculous, no?"

"It's getting ridiculous, YES," Clint huffed. "Seriously, y'all are fine with him rollin' in whenever he wants?!"

"Oh, hush," Caleb chuckled with a hand wave. He chuckled, then gestured for Dimentio to talk, which he gladly did.

For the next thirty minutes.

Every time it looked like he was going to stop, he would remember something else and keep lecturing about his stupid visions and whatever they could mean.

After breakfast, everyone went their own way, meaning Dimentio stayed back and continued talking with his father while the rest of his siblings grouped together to mindlessly talk trash about him.

"So, what's the tea?" Benjamin asked while petting Carrie as the rest of the siblings gathered in his room (which was where they usually met. His room was the second biggest in the house, second to only Dimentio's.)

"The tea is our lives are literally revolving around Dimentio!" Shyama exclaimed. "Dad is literally OBSESSED with him. Like, hello?! The rest of us have powers too!"

"Besides Jaq," Clint added.

"HEY! I have powers!" Jaq exclaimed. "If anyone doesn't have powers, it's Andre!"

Andre shrugged as Cedric stood up for him and said that Andre did in fact have powers, he just refused to share them. Then, the room erupted into sibling bickering over whose powers really "counted" as powers. Throughout the entire squabble, not a single person mentioned how Benjamin was actually the only powerless sibling. No one ever spoke of Benjamin's lack of abilities. The fifteen-year-old always assured everyone that his powerlessness never made him upset, but his siblings liked to be careful with him. He was the baby of the family, after all.
