Luigi was walking back from the farmers market with all the groceries Mario and he could need for the month. As he opened the gate that surrounded the house, the mail toad came walking up with the mail. Luigi smiled down at the small toad. "Here, let me take that," Luigi said as he grabbed the mail. The toad smiled and left with a nod. Luigi smiled and took the mail and groceries inside. He opened the front door and put the mail in the mail holder. He walked to the kitchen and placed the groceries on the table, and began to put the stuff where it went. After everything was put away, Luigi went to sort the mail. It had been around a month since Mario had left to go on some crazy adventure. Not that Luigi minded, Mario had invited him to go with him on all his adventures. Luigi ended up declining because he knew that it would be less of a burden if he didn't go. Besides, who would watch the house? Luigi sighed as he went through the mail. Fan mail for Mario, a bill, another fan letter. Nothing out of the ordinary. He then reached the daily newspaper. He lightly skimmed through it, before he noticed something unusual. In the bottom corner was a little ad that read, "TEACHER WANTED IN THE KOOPA KINGDOM. FREE HOUSING AND PAY." Luigi immediately perked up at this. He had always wanted to be a teacher and had even gotten a degree in teaching. He decided that the next time he saw Mario he would immediately ask him about the idea, but for now, he would make lunch. Roughly 6 and ½ hours later Mario walked in, looking exhausted. "Oh! Here, let me help you fratello!" Luigi said as he rushed forwards to steady his brother who was about ready to collapse. Luigi picked him up and placed him on the couch. "Get some rest fratello," Luigi said as he went to make some Spaghetti. 1 hour later he had made dinner and he went to wake up Mario. "Wake up fratello," Luigi said as he tried to shake Mario awake. "Ugh, do I have to get up?" Mario groaned. "I guess not...it's such a shame too. I made spaghetti for dinner and cannolis for dessert. Oh well, I guess I could eat it all by myself," Luigi said with a grin as he turned to the kitchen. That seemed to wake up Mario instantly. "Oh hehe, I'm suddenly well rested." "Are you sure? I don't want to tire you out." Luigi teased. "Yes yes, let's go eat," Mario said as he walked to the kitchen. Luigi giggled as he went and plated some spaghetti for Mario. "Has anything happened since I've been gone?" Mario asked once they were both done eating. "Yes and no," Luigi said as he gave Mario a cannoli. Mario looked up at Luigi, prompting him to go on. "Well...there was this ad for a teacher..." Luigi started. "That's great fratello! Who's it for?!" Mario exclaimed with excitement. "That's the issue. It's for Bowser's kids..." Luigi mumbled. Mario looked up from his cannoli, staring wide-eyed at Luigi. "Please fratello, let me go there! It would help strengthen the peace treaty between the Mushroom Kingdom and the Koopa Kingdom!" Luigi begged. "Do you promise to be careful and send a letter?' Maria asked with a sigh. Luigi looked at Mario in shock, before he quickly nodded his head. "Thank you fratello thank you!!!" Luigi said as he jumped up from his seat and ran over to Mario, engulfing him in a big hug. It caused Mario to slightly choke on his cannoli, but he soon was able to breathe again and smiled at Luigi.
