I left the coffee shop like a zombie.

"Hey, can I stay over?" Raylen asks on the way out.

"Sure!"

"Alright." He grins.

We got to my apartment building but were interrupted by a loud boom in the distance, and I felt Raylen go cold.

"Are you okay?" I ask, worried.

"No no, I'm fine."

"Alright." I'm not sure I believe him, but I don't want to seem mean.

"I need to get home. Remember what happened last time I slept over during one of your fights?" He whispers.

"Yeah, that was bad. G'night, Ray!"

"'Night, Toby!" He said, and left.

I walked into my apartment and immediately changed, running up the stairs and flying off the roof.

"What is it now, Ti-" I realized it wasn't him. It was someone else. "Who the hell are you? Where's Tide?"

"I don't know where he is, but I'm Fury heart." She said, her hand becoming red with head, bursting with flames a second later. "I just wanted to have some fun," She smiled devilishly.

"Hey 'Green, what is this?" Tide suddenly asked out of nowhere.

"Why are you asking me? I don't know-" I was cut off by Fury heart's laughter.

"Holy shit, why don't you two just kiss and get it over with?" She cackled.

"What?!" I could feel myself getting hot.

"Wait–what? Who the shit even are you?" Tide growled.

"You could call me cupid or Fury heart, I don't mind." She winked.

"Just shut up!" I shout, grabbing her with my vines. "Hey, what kind of name is Fury heart anyways?"

"It's a better name than yours!!" She growled.

"Not really." Tide giggles.

"Sounds like.. More of a band name." I brainstorm.

"Or a shitty book character!" Tide laughs again. "But for real, it's such a silly name." Suddenly, he grabs me and restricts my powers. Shit, I should've been paying attention.
"What the– Let me go!" I plead, struggling.

He chuckles. "It's sad to see you so desperate, but also sort of funny."

I growl, "Put me down, you ass!"

"That's me." He smirks.

"You little-" I respond, but I'm cut off by him loosening his grip on me. "Oh, shit!!" I panic, being held on by a thread.

"I've got her." He puts her in a water bubble, same as me. "Just stop. Being a villain really isn't your strong suit." He tells her.

"Fine! Just put me down!" she screams.

"Okay." He shrugs, lowering her down.

I take this opportunity to grab him with vines, but he stops me, grabbing them with water.

"I'm not that stupid." He giggles.

"Yeah right."

"Real cocky for someone who's about to watch some people die.
