ARIA

I inhale the fresh air. I take a deep breath and it was like life being brought into me. I may have knocked out fast, but I recover fast too.

The room doesn't' feel like a desert anymore. Will and Lydia are on the floor. A whiff of chemical passed by me so I rush towards the door. My pace slows when I see captain Hawthorne sitting up, bloody, lifeless. I rush to her. I cup her face with my hands. She has such a faint pulse. I have no idea what has happened. I can see she is shot. But then I look around. There is no sign of Cooper. She's the only one who would do something like this.

My nostrils get stuffed up again because of the chemical. I hear groaning on the floor. Will and Lydia are waking up. I can't stay in here because there would be no hope. Wrapping my hands around Hawthorne's torso I drag her into the main room. The challenge was lugging all this muscle. No complaints.

The room seems like a mixture of grasslands, with some trees, all surrounded by a metal central room. Leaning her against the wall I take a deep breath calling the energy within my body. I hover my hands over her wounds. I don't do this often, but it'll have to work.

I open my eyes to look. Nothing my hands aren't even warm. Exhale. I try again. Nothing. I'm going to heal this captain, even if it's with my last breath. I put my hand on the bloody wound. She doesn't even flinch. I close my eyes. Try to pulse my energy to her. I open my eyes nothing. My hands flop. The frustration. I hover my hands over her again feeling I can't lose her. As I look at her I feel energy pulsating throughout my body. A soft chiming-yellow light releases out my palms healing the gunshot wound. Hawthorne gasps for air. She is startled. She is healed that it only leaves a scar.

Hawthorne looks around in defense mode. My eyes hoover over where the wound. She gazes at me like a miracle. I finally give in and stare back forming a small smile. It's the first time we have looked at each other and knew.
