I was headed back to my room, trying to brainstorm just how I was going to get the information out of Damon regarding where The Stationarys gets their supply of silver. I imagined that there was a sort of warehouse that administers the silver for all Stationarys. It was too dangerous to let the humans work there as the silver could be used by them to have the werewolves killed, and  the hybrids cannot work there also because they were not immune to it just like the werewolves.
So who the hell handled the silver?

I figured that the best way to go about this is tomorrow at the celebration. I would wait until Damon has had a few drinks, and then I would mention something along the lines of where the silver comes from. Perhaps there was someone else there that I could also ask, before I asked Damon. Someone much less likely to kill me.

Almost as immediately as I entered my room, a light knock on the door occurred. I reopened the door to discover  a panic- stricken Evan.

"Evan, what are you doing here?"

"I haven't seen you," his eyes fell on my bruises," I got worried."

"You can't be here, you have to leave."

"Just a second, I need to talk to you."

"Trust me, it's not safe."

"What did he do to you?" he studied my bare arms and neck," did he do that because of last night?"

"No, it had nothing to do with you, it was something else-"

"I swear to god, I'll kill him if he ever lays another hand on you. How could he-"

"He didn't hit me Evan, it wasn't like that!"

"He had you," the pain in his eyes was like a flicker of dark light. He finally realized it.

I peered out into the hallway and grabbed Evan by his arms and pulled him inside of the bedroom. The last thing I needed was from someone inside of the house to let it slip that I was talking with him.

"We need to talk about the potion."

Evan tried to reassert his attention but it was clear that my silence on the matter confirmed what he had said.
Yes. It was true, last night, Damon and I had finally had sex. But I could not verbally express this to Evan and I hoped that he would drop it.

"I heard," he finally answered," Maria told me."

"I don't know what to do," I revealed," I thought of trying to find out where The Stationary gets their silver for the fences from, maybe there's a warehouse or something nearby."

"There is, it's not too far, I'd say a few hours out from Akbur Hills, but there is no way we would get to it."

"Why not?"

"Because it's flooded by vampires."

"Why vampires?"

"I'm not sure, it's just what I've heard. But if you think werewolves are bad, vampires are ten times worse."

"Fuck!" I exclaimed. It seemed as if every idea I could think to have was immediately terminated.

"It's not too bad of an idea though, the vampires need humans to feed, don't they?"

"What are you saying?"

"Maybe I can strike up some sort of deal, I don't know. Let them feed on me, in return, I get the silver."

"Evan, that's an insane idea."

"I could trick them into thinking that I'll use the silver to kill the wolves and let them out."

"They'll never go for it. Why would you kill the werewolves to save the vampires if they just want to feed on you?"

"You're right," he sighed.

"You have to do, before Damon finds you, we'll figure this out another time."

"Okay, I'll leave, but Ana," Evan placed his fingers on my cheek.

"What?"
I loved the feeling of his touch.
I blinked tears in my vision while I stared at Evan. He leaned forward and pecked my lips, so gently that I had forgotten the true meaning of a kiss. I shut my eyes and leaned into him further. I did not want to leave his lips. We stayed locked until the taste of his lips became salt from my tears.

"Evan, was it you? The person that I lost my virginity to."

Please say it was.

"Yes, you don't remember?"

I shook my head. I was relieved to say the least, but I wondered why I could not remember, even after all this time.

"Okay, you really have to go now."

I opened the door and pushed at his chest.

"Be careful. And don't do anything without telling me first."
He spared me one more look and walked away.

I went back to the library that night and tried to find some books that could lead to some more information on the distribution of silver since The Downworlders Revolution. The only information I was able to find was inside a book titled Vampire Prisons that went into detail about ways to contain the vampires.

'Cells must be a minimum of a half a mile underground, they should be made out of vervain and wooden stakes. Blood supply must be distributed every three days.'

It didn't help me much, other than knowing that the warehouse for the silver which apparently doubled up as the prison for the vampires was somewhere underground.

Once again, I found myself attracted to the stupid locked box made of thick brown leather.
Maybe one day I'll be able to finally get it opened.
