Jesse's Point of View:
I followed after my brother to the rehearsal room. When we got in, I saw so many boys. When Jeremy found Mr. Calhoun, he started walking towards him. "Jeremy! I haven't seen you in forever!" Mr. Calhoun hugged Jeremy. "I hope your sister has even more talent than you do."
"Oh, she does." Jeremy replied.
"Hey, Jer, I'm gonna go sit down." I said.
"Okay, I'll pick you up at 7." Jeremy kissed my forehead and walked to the door."Bye, Jesse!"
"Bye Jer!" I walked over to an empty seat and sit down. After a few minutes, a woman walked over, she looked young, but not as young as me.
"Can I sit here?" The woman asked.
"Of course!"
"Thanks, I'm Stephanie Styles by the way by the way, I'm playing Katherine." Stephanie smiled.
"No way, I'm understudying Katherine! I'm also Sniper, a nun, and a beauty." I laughed."My name's Jesse, Jesse Jordan."
"As in Jesse Jordan, the sister of the Jack Kelly from the OBC of Newsies?" She freaked.
"Yep!" I nodded.
"Tell him I say hi, I saw him at Papermill and on Broadway as Jack. He did very well."
"Well, he's picking me up, so you could probably say hi yourself."
"Hello everyone!" Mr. Calhoun announced in the front of the room. "Welcome to the North American Tour of Newsies! I know we will all have a great time together and become a large family. I would now like us to read through the show."
We all quieted down once the orchestra started playing.

"Since we're done with Act 1, we'll have an hour long lunch break. So be back here at 2:21." Mr. Calhoun announced.
I pulled out my phone and scrolled through my photos. Most of them were with my family. Looking at these pictures made me miss my family even more. Yes, I did live with my brother, Jeremy, but I did have other siblings too and parents. My siblings were Joey and Jessa. My parents split when I was young and I lived with my mother every other week and vice versa. And of course they were still down in Texas.
When I was starting to feel a little homesick, I felt a sudden tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see a blonde teenage boy with crystal blue eyes.
"Hi, I'm Ben, Ben Tyler Cook." The blonde introduced himself. "You sound really good. Who are you understudying?"
"I'm understudying Katherine. And my name is Jesse Jordan. And thanks." I responded.
"No way. I'm understudying Jack!"
"That's so cool!"
"Would you like to go out fo-"
"Jesse! C'mon we're going!" Stephanie interrupted Ben.
"Sorry, I already agreed to go with Stephanie and Dan. See you later!" I grabbed my bag and headed out.
