Ch 94: The Creators

{A/N: Just a heads up, the idea of Azathoth being a girl and Veldanava and Azathoth are lover's, this is an idea that came from a friend of mine, so this isn't the same Azathoth from the Cthulhu Mythos. Additionally, everything written here is purely made by my own imagination and isn't canon.}

Even before the concept of time existed, there was nothing but a white space that stretched endlessly in all directions.

From that white place, a black hue emerged. No one knows what it is called, and no one knows where it came from. However, in the vast white space, it is the very first energy that existed.

This energy started emitting even more power over time, giving birth to the place known as the Void. The once endless white space is now being covered by darkness known as the Void, a violent place that no one can enter.

And from that Void, the same unknown energy gave birth to two beings, the very first beings that ever existed in the vast multiverse.

The two beings would later be known as Veldanava, the Star Dragon King, and Azathoth, the God of the Void.

These two beings are connected to each other by an unknown force, and they are inseparable.

Over time, the two beings created multiple worlds and realities, but those worlds would just be destroyed the moment they were created.

The two powerful beings tried to find out what caused this destruction of their creations. As time passed, Azathoth noticed that she was the one who was responsible for it.

It became clear to Azathoth that she herself was the one responsible for this. Due to her uncontrollable power, anything that she saw would be destroyed.

To fix this, Azathoth herself asked Veldanava to seal her body to avoid this destruction.

Veldanava reluctantly agreed on one condition, and that was for Azathoth to separate her consciousness from her body. And Azathoth agreed to it.

Veldanava sealed Azathoth's body in a place separated from all of reality, and the only way to access it is through A Gate. However, the gate was sealed by a lock and a key that Veldanava Created.

After a long time, new Outer Gods were born, but they were nothing like Azathoth or Veldanava. Those gods' only desire was destruction. All of the things that Veldanava had created were destroyed by them. So, in the end, Veldanava was forced to also lock them away in the same place where Azathoth's body was sealed.

All of the other gods, except for one, this one Outer God called himself the Scarlet King, a powerful god that could rival both Azathoth and Veldanava.

Veldanava used half of his power to seal this being, and the only way to free it was to open the Crimson Gate.

Over time, Veldanava used the other half of his power to create a new reality. That is where he found her, the reincarnation of Azathoth's consciousness taking the form of a human girl, and she called herself Lucia.

"So let me get this straight, Azathoth is Lucia-san, the mother of Milim?" Rimuru said to confirm.

"Yes, I am Lucia as well as Azathoth," Azathoth said and transformed into a human form that resembled Lucia. The only difference was her hair, which was supposed to be pink are now colored black as the night sky.

"This is a lot to take in. Wait, if you're here, then everything will be destroyed," Rimuru said in a panic.

"You don't have to worry. Her real body is still sealed away, thanks to you," Veldanava said to Rimuru and also transformed into his human form.

"If you say that it's fine, then okay. So why did you all summon me here?" Rimuru asked.

"We summoned you because you need to fulfill your duty as the new heir to the Throne of Creation and Destruction. And a great evil will come to destroy everything that you have ever known," Veldanava said.

"What do you mean?"

"Now that the old gods are released, I'm sure that they would release him—the Scarlet King, the only one capable of matching our own power. And we need you to stop him," Azathoth said.

"But aren't you guys the creators of all things? Why do you need my help? I'm sure you both are powerful enough to stop him. Since you, Veldanava, sealed him once," Rimuru said, looking at Veldanava.

"Indeed, I sealed him once, and it cost me half of my power. And Azathoth won't win without her main body. Believe me, if I could kill him, I would have done so a long, long time ago," Veldanava said with a saddened expression. He was saddened because of his lack of power to kill the Scarlet King.

"So we need you, Rimuru-chan. You are an anomaly that is not born from the energy that gave birth to us, but you are someone who is capable of using and even controlling that energy. You can make the impossible possible," Azathoth said to Rimuru.

*Sigh* "If that Scarlet King is released, everything that I love is going to be in danger, right?" Azathoth and Veldanava nodded in agreement.

"Then tell me, what do I need to do?"

Veldanava then explained to Rimuru that he first needed to find out who he truly is, he needs to explore his life from both the past, present, and future in the form of a trial.

"I wish you luck, Rimuru-chan," Azathoth said, and Rimuru lost consciousness.

When Rimuru opened his eyes, he found himself in a desolated desert that stretched endlessly. He looked into the distance but found nothing.

"What is this place?" Rimuru said, while turning around.

"What is this world?" Rimuru wondered in amazement since after he turned around he noticed a black tower reaching up into the sky.

Rimuru stood there, staring at the tall tower, and he noticed that the door to the tower had opened.

He had a feeling that this was the trial that Veldanava mentioned. As soon as he stepped inside, he felt all of his power disappear as if it never existed in the first place.

Even his connection to the endless spirits had vanished.

"Just what is going on?" Rimuru exclaimed, and the door behind him shut closed.

The vast room lit up, and in the middle, he could see a young man of average height with spiky black hair and gray eyes. The young man had a lean but well-built physique and a cute face, making him popular with both younger girls and even older ladies.

The young man was wearing a white school uniform blazer with a black undershirt and a white tie. He also wore black pants and matching shoes.

"I know you," Rimuru said.

"So you remember me. I'm glad. I will be your first test. My name is Kurogane I***, your 687th life. Shall we start?" the young man ask.

"Alright, let's end this quickly." Rimuru replied

"Come to me... Intetsu," the man said, and a black katana appeared in his hand.

'ohh Come on how am I supposed to fight him with no powers at all' Rimuru said to himself.

And thus, Rimuru prepared himself for his first challenge, which came from his past life as the Sword God, also known as the Worst One.

Meanwhile, Veldanava and Azathoth summoned those people who were with Rimuru when they challenged the Frost Caravans.

Everyone was summoned except for the Heroes Party.

"Where are we?" Chloe asked, looking around.

"Welcome, all of you," Veldanava said, capturing Chloe and the others' attention.

"Who are you?" Hajime asked, while preparing his gun.

"Do not be frightened, for all of you are here for a trial to become stronger," Azathoth said.
