Although I was nervous about the whole ordeal, my eyes sparkled with glee while anticipating his answer. However in contrast I found Takemichi shaking in fear as if I lay a death sentence upon his soul with my innocent question. Did he believe I would beat him up to a pulp in case he gave me the wrong answer?
"Black hair, gray eyes... why are you asking me this? But please don't misunderstand me, it's not like I'm questioning your authority or anything, I'm sorry." He paced his words so quickly while trembling like a shriveled leaf it took me a few seconds to process his answer. But when I finally understood I couldn't contain my excitement for long, soon after I found myself reaching for his shirt collar, forcing eye contact between us.
"You mean it? It's really what your elf eyes see? You aren't telling me this just to please me right?" I questioned making sure his statement was true, I wasn't going to be disappointed once more. Takemichi gave me this confused gaze, but nodded his head in confirmation, that he truly stood by his words.
"So are you really Mikey? You two look nothing alike." I heard him whisper.
"Let's just say, the whole world believes I'm Mikey, does it answer your question?" He didn't respond making me realize he wasn't going to believe my claims just yet.
"That's ok... you aren't the first to question my sanity." I saw his face become pale as I turned to my supposed best friend while posing this question towards him.
"Yo, Draken, what do you see when gazing into my innocent eyes?" While cutely blinking in his direction, I must have caught him off guard once more, because he just looked at me in utter disbelief. I found myself gulping, feeling like a useless husband that was judged by his wife because, for the love of god, I couldn't behave myself in public.
"For now I see a blonde idiot acting unlike himself." But he soon regretted his words, most likely realizing looking down on the leader in front of the Toman members wasn't such a bright idea. But unlike him, I didn't care, just shot a smile toward my newfound ally.
"You see?" I could tell his brain was off somewhere else and lagging, which made me tell those reassuring words.
"Don't worry you will understand everything once you meet him." There couldn't be a better wake-up call than seeing Mikey in a female school uniform, I bet. However I couldn't leave this spot yet, I first needed to teach those immature boys some simple manners. As the fighting ring wasn't such a bad idea, if they only kept the fights contained inside Toman's inner circles, testing their strength among each other and sharing tips with the newcomers. But they long crossed the line by dragging people not affiliated with any gangs, forcing them to participate and venting their anger on them.
"Listen! I forbid you from creating any fighting rings in the future. Not only are they tacky, but they also soil our gang's name for that matter. Because geez guys we are not in Roman Empire, and we are sure not gladiators. So find better sources of entertainment!" People seemed surprised by my choice of words.
"On top of that, we fight with our fits like real men, if I see someone dare to pull out a weapon first when their opponent is empty handed I will teach you a lesson of resilience for sure." I cracked my wrist, making some members wince because they found the sound uncomfortable. But that's when I took notice of one guy that politely rose his hand, like a student in a lecture. I ought to hear him out.
"Yes, speak."
"What if we get attacked by a larger group of guys when we are alone, can we use weapons then?" Was his endearing question.
"Excellent question." I suddenly felt like a professor at a university teaching a lesson.
"They were the first to show their cowardly side, choosing to ambush you with bigger numbers. It means they are weak and you are more than welcome to show them who's boss." It looked like the vice-captain froze in place, perhaps he was amazed by my leadership skills. And then I continued.
