The Eurovision Song Contest 2024

What I want from each country!

This year I am hoping for the following things for and from each country. The 2024 contest, has a lot to live up to in terms of songs. Last year only had two songs that didn't appeal to me at all. Let's hope 2024 can keep that incredible standard up. I am sure Sweden can deliver a show of the standard 2023 gave us. However, I hope that we can deliver a better scoreboard. Let's hope that the jury can also follow the categories given to them. A more diverse jury would also be nice. That is what I'm hoping for from Eurovision, here is what I hope for from each country:

Firstly, the returning country! After a long wait Luxemburg is back and I am hoping that they have something in store for us. Please let them have a plan! I'm hoping they are coming back with a showstopper ready. They need to show us how their music has evolved and changed over the gap they have had away from us. They already have an advantage (as they stand out from the rest of the countries) use it to send a brilliant song and get a high finish.

Secondly, last years winner, Sweden! Hopefully, they don't follow the trend every winner follows and send a generic, boring and altogether rubbish song! I hope Sweden use this opportunity ,since they already qualify, and send an experimental entry. Something other then the generic pop (you know I'm right) they always send. Whatever they send it will be hyped up anyway, since it's Sweden, so why not go with something risky and unique.

Thirdly, the amazing second place. The winner of the televote, Finland. I want them to send what they always send. An amazing rock entry. They have now found that rock mixed with other genre's gets them a good place in the overall Leader board. Also, I would like more of the Finnish language.

Australia isn't ment to be in 2024 but if they did turn up that would be great. They know how to bring the fun and are probably the most enthusiastic country.

Bulgaria wasn't in the contest last year. Let's hope for a return. I love the rock bangers they always send. They are honestly, one of my favorite countries in ESC.

Germany sent a brilliant song last year. Do that again, Europe will not vote until you send a ballad about peace. You won't get much out of it anyway, so why bother just send the song from the  internal selection, that now works brilliantly and is now one of the best. Just enjoy it!

Denmark is less then 12 hours away from the host city! Show full Eurovision spirit and send a masterpiece! Last time, the contest was in that host city (next chapter) , guess who won?! Denmark, with Emile Deforest! This should be a wake up call for Denmark, they have good music (my Dad listens to it the whole time), show Europe!

Ireland should use this as a wake-up call. Now it's serious! Sweden have now equalled them and they need to get it together and send a banger!

Spain has been sending masterpieces for the last two years. They have found a system and I have full trust in them to deliver another one of their many brilliant songs. Who will follow SloMo and EaEa.

Uk can send another Sam Ryder. They have the system. They have the music! They need to choose a song that is less pop and more showcase like Space Man! The song was written to show his talent. Another one written with that purpose should do the trick!

Italy has never finished bellow 7th since they have the Sanremo.  I expect another high finish for them.

Latvia was so close to breaking their non qualifying streak with Alija! Three points and they would have been in the final. If they send another song like Alija then they might make it to the final.

Portugal need to keep their amazing, brilliant, unique, cultural classics! Ai corasao was my favorite last year so I am hoping for another hit. Lot's of pressure.

Poland needs to either not rig their national final or a internal selection where they would have more control. Also, can we send a Gladiator!

Slovenia sends a good song and I hope they continue to do so! LPS and Jokerout were amazing and both deserved more. Be patient and you will get a good plase soon.

Ukraine got a hit with Shum. However, I wasn't keen on their last two entries!

Albania keeps bringing their culture to Eurovision. However, it doesn't work all the time. If they followed the example of Ukraine and add a bit of a modern twist. It would have worked a treatbwith Sekret but the semi was rigged!

I loved the Armenian in Future lover. A bit more of theit language in their next entry would do well. More of the unique, experimental music they brought this year, will bring them another good placement!

Austria can always be counted on for a pop bop that ,against all the odds, somehow manages to fit the Eurovision stage! It would be nice, however, to see a bit of language and culture.

It would be nice if another actually Azerbaijani song came again to Eurovision! Maybe this time one that actually fits the Eurovision stage!

Belgium could send something in non English and a little less poppy.

Switzerland could send something fresh and refreshing. Something new for Switzerland! A non male pop ballad!

Cyprus could drift away from their same generic dance pop music by an attractive person, usually female! I do usually enjoy their entries though!

Czechia should send another masterpiece like My Sisters Crown.

Estonia always send a calming, down to earth songs. Normally ballads! I wouldn't mind another one. Last year, Bridges was my second favorite.

France should bring more French language and class.

Georgia was robbed last year. If they carry on with a song as good as Echo, they will get through.

If Greece can deliver another My Only One they will do well. For me they were mainly mediocre.

Croatia could send something cultural.

Israel has a hit with Unicorn. Can they do it again.

Iceland sends songs with wonderful and genius lyrics. Another soothing song would be nice, since I think lot's of countries will avoid them given the new vote only semis.

Lithuania has been on a role with some great songs. Keep it up! I love the nostalgia of your last song.

Moldova always brings culture and I want more!

Malta please send something different from the same upbeat, generic pop that you always send! Something unique, something cultural and something slower.

Netherland needs to try a non ballad! This year proved that their normal typical Netherlands ballads don't work anymore! The televote won't let them through!

Romania, please fund your entry properly and give them the creative freedom they deserve. Let's face the truth! Theodors ideas where genius, why did you have to force him to perform that!

Serbia can just carry on sending the experimental, unique classics in Serbian they always send.

Slovenia sends artists like LPS and JokersOut and get so low! Something is wrong here. Europe wake up. Please send more of these Slovenia, Europe will come to its senses at some point!

San Marinos last descent entry was in 2021 with Adrenalina and that was only okay, nothing breathtaking! So this year wake up from that last place and send a good song!

Montenegro if you do come back, please with a good song!

North Macedonia if you do come back, again please with a good song!

Hungary doesn't look like it will come back any time soon but is you do, send a good song.

Eurovision 2024 Hunger Games (last year I wrote like two chapters)
