Run Away Kaveh

chapter 1

Tonight Kaveh was walking through the forest of sumeru heading towards Port Ormos to get on the last ship to mondstat.

He had whatever he could fit in his bags and was only going to mondstat because it was the only ship here and he didn't want to be in sumeru much longer.

Tonight was the last straw with Al Haitham and everyone he just couldn't take it anymore he wanted a fresh start.

Anyway as he got to the boat he got settled and looked back at sumeru one last time. He didn't tell anyone he would be leaving no note and knew they would worry but he couldn't stay.

The next day in mondstat at the port Kaveh had woken up and got off the ship with his bags. He was still tired and had no place to stay but had enough mora to get a room at an in for a few days but that's it.

Anyway before doing that he went into a tavern and sat down at the counter setting his bags down next to him.

Diluc : you certainly look like you need a drink"

Kaveh : what do you suggest"

Diluc then made him the specialty for today and said.

Diluc : here on the house"

Kaveh : really?"

Diluc : seems like you need it"

Kaveh : thank you"

Diluc : what brings you all the way from sumeru?"

Kaveh : just decided to move."

Diluc : to mondstat of all places?"

Kaveh : it's a rather personal matter as to why I up and left"

Diluc : I can understand that"

Kaveh : you wouldn't happen to know anyone looking for an architect would you?"

Diluc : actually I am actually"

Kaveh :for what exactly?"

Diluc : there was some damage done to my winery
And you would be great help.

Kaveh : what's the catch?"

Diluc : no catch just I wouldn't be able to pay you the big amount.

But if you have no where to stay I could provide a home on my winery and a job here where I can pay you a little more"

Kaveh : ......a house and job and money....sure why not"

Diluc : ....you agreed rather quickly?"

Kaveh : I heard Lisa talk about you when she visited sumeru"

Diluc : you know h-

Suddenly Lisa walked in with Kaeya and said seeming surprised to see Kaveh there.

Lisa : I doubt you came to came to visit little old me"

Kaveh : I am moving here and I prefer not to mention why but knowing you. You'll find out anyway"

Lisa: now Diluc did I just hear you offer my friend a job?"

Kaeya : taking advantage of someone while they're in distress how bold"

Diluc : no I didn't. He just happened to be"

Lisa : nobody wanted to take the job considering who caused the damage"

Kaeya : are friend Klee caused it"

Kaveh : yes I have heard about her. She blew up something in sumeru once"

Diluc : when?"

Lisa : yes when did she end up i-

Kaeya : anyway nice to meet you I'm Kaeya"

Kaveh : Kaveh"

Lisa : also if you need more jobs with your skills I know a few actually. You'll be very helpful in mondstat"

Kaveh : looks like I came to the right place"

Kaeya : hopefully you can handle my dear brother's personality"

Diluc : shut up"

Lisa : does Al Haitham know your h-

Kaveh : he can die in a hole for all I care"

Lisa : I see. Well at least we get to hang out like old times"

Kaeya : how do you both know each other?"

Kaveh : we used to go to school together in sumeru"

Lisa : and looks like you want a quiet life like me"

Kaveh : it was the last ship out of Sumeru"

Lisa : if you need help shopping for your new home or clothes I'll help I would be insulted if you didn't let me"

Kaveh : .......fine....."

A few hours later at the winery Diluc opened the door to the cottage on his property that was fully furnished but needed a bit of fixing.

Diluc : you can get settled in first before anything."

Kaveh : I have to thank you again for this"

Diluc : there's no need to. We just both happened to meet at the right time"

After this Diluc left and Kaveh walked into his new home and shut the door.

He then set his bags down and looked around before starting to cry.

He was so hurt by what happened and hated what happened in Sumeru. He felt alone and was in so much pain.

Despite what happened he was going to miss home and everyone he knew despite them hurting him.
