Donnie was confused by the question and slightly tilted his head showing more if his confusion. "Would you ever want to become a human?" Y/n asked again, this time a little seriously. "I suppose, but I so like being a mutant, it's a part of me" Donnie answered with a smile. Y/n just sat there and let out a soft sigh, she still wasn't sure how to explain to Donnie she wanted to go traveling with him. "What would you do if you ever became a human?" Y/n asked, and again in a serious tone. Donnie still confused about these random questions. He sat up and faced her.
"Why are you asking? Is that what made you sad earlier, that...that..I'm not.. human?" Donnie slight frown, so he made her upset? Donnie though and looked away from her. Y/n was slightly shocked, why would he think that? "No, no no no. Why would you think that?" She said gently cupping his face. Donnie was still slightly frowning. "Because you asked would I want to be human, so you want me to be human, don't you?" Donnie seemed to get more upset, but it was true. Y/n did want Donnie to be human, it pained her to just think about it and feel worse if she said it.
"No, amor, you're perfect, you know that" Y/n smiled. "Then why are you asking dumb questions?" Donnie still seemed upset, and pulled her close. "I..I want to go traveling with you" She said with a soft and sad tone. "I want to show you the world, but-" "I'm a mutant.." Donnie looked over to Y/n, her eyes were glossy as tears filled them. Donnie sighed and hugged her. "Is that why you're upset? Because I can't travel?" Donnie seemed to slightly laugh "Its not funny. I want to show you the places I love, I want to show you the true world, without you having to hide yourself" Y/n was completely serious at this point. She was usually not so blunt about things, and here she is expressing how serious this is for her.
"My beloved, you know I can't travel, and-" "Yes Donatello, I know! But I don't want to you just stay copped up, I really want to show you the different places you mostly never been to before" Donnie was a by surprised by how she used his full name instead of 'Donnie'. Was it really that important to her they travel?
Donnie sighs, "Y/n why are you getting so worked up? You already know since the day you meet me, I can't show myself" Donnie said in a soft yet firm tone. Y/n stayed silent. She was thinking of ways, any possibility to take Donnie then. "Leo's swords" She mumbled.
"I have a private rancho and you can stay there and you can teleport there with Leo's swords!" Y/n says excitedly. Y/n's Rancho was her father's but she inherited it. It's in Mexico of course, but it was far away from everyone, the nearest store closest to them was about a 10 - 20 minute drive. She cups Donnie face and smiled "Do you think that would work?" "Maybe, I just don't know if Leo's able to teleport all the way over there" Donnie softly sighs. Y/n kisses his cheek and nuzzles her face into his neck "It's worth a try right?"
Cᴏᴜᴘʟᴇ ᴅᴀʏs ʟᴀᴛᴇʀ...
Y/n explained everything to the rest of the others, how she wanted to take them on a trip only for a couple days. But they need Leo, he was the most important piece to this operation. Y/n explained to Leo what she need him to try and teleported as far as he could, or at least try to teleport somewhere that wasn't here. He did to it before, when he accidentally teleported Mikey, Raph, and Donnie at Bahamas.
They tired over and over. Y/n say feeling a bit hopeless and disappointed. Donnie was still somewhat hopeful than Y/n and told her we just needed a break.
"Alrights let's take a break" She announced and they all took a break. Y/n sighs softly as she continued to think of what other ways they could go to Mexico without using Leo swords, but regardless, it didn't seem like that was an actual solution to the traveling problem. "Y/n?" Donnie asks as he sits right by her. "Yes?" She says softly as she looks at the ground, deep into her thoughts. " do you want something to eat? maybe if we eat some thing you could give us some ideas?" Donnie asks as he scoots closer and wrapped it and arm around her shoulder.
Y/n lightly scoffs, and turns her head at him with the soft smile. "Yeah, please".
The day continues, and after they got food, they tried it again, trying to motivate Leo to teleport as far as he can using his two swords. Suddenly out of nowhere, he makes a portal somewhere that for sure, isn't New York. Immediately they feel the warm air from the other side of the portal. Curiously, Mikey peaks his head out and examines the area along with everyone else. "Where is this?" Ralph asked suspiciously as he looked around. " Leo, where is this?" Donnie asks as he looks back at Leo. Leo shrugs as he scratches the top of his head. " I don't know" he says blankly. Donnie roll his eyes and peaks his head back out the portal. Suddenly they realized they were on the side of a beach because of the waves pushing against the side of the cliff the portal was at.
"Hold on" Y/n stepped onto the other side of the portal and looked around. Suddenly she knew exactly where the other side of the portal was. " guys, this is California..." She says a bit speechless as she notices the big white letters on the side of a big mountain, Hollywood.
Everyone turn their head back at Leo, seemingly surprised that he was able to teleport literally across the country to California. A sudden feeling of hope and a smile was plastered on Y/n's face. She couldn't contain her happiness started to laugh and jump out of pure excitement and joy, feeling like this could actually work.
She stepped back from the other side and hugged Leo tightly. "Oh my gosh! This could actually work!" She laughed and smiled, and she turned to Donnie and gave him a huge hug, and was just overall happy and overjoyed. Donnie sighs softly and pats her head.
