Who really puts you down? The person, or yourself? The person who did something to you, did do something to you. For example, a person at school called you ugly. They truly did call you ugly, but did they put you down? No.
You see, no matter what, someone will hurt you. You have to accept that. But you don't have to accept being put down.
No one puts you down except yourself. It is your decision upon how you react to it. So, if someone called you ugly, you could put your head down and be more self conscious. OR you fight BACK on your feelings. DONT let it consume you! If someone called you ugly, who in the heck cares?! They are just jealous of you and don't want you to be who you ARE!
Don't even care about what other people "think" about you! It is your decision if you want to get put down. Say no, and tell that person who called you ugly, "you're beautiful" EVERYONE is beautiful in their own unique way! Plus they'd be totally taken back by your reply. Fire doesn't stop fire. Crystal clear complimenting water does. See what they try to say back. ; )
