Suddenly, the door swung open and slammed shut behind the person who had finally opened it.  I turned around to find out the reason for Dovey's delay, but my eyes widened in shock at the sight of the person standing before me.

***

Unfortunately, it wasn't the person I expected when I looked into her eyes, "Lady Lesso" she fixed her gaze on me and asked "You, what are you doing here ?" startled, I replied, "Well, when you bumped into me like a fury, I mentioned that I was the new communication teacher, if you could pay attention, it would be more beneficial for you, and I won't have to repeat myself". She gave me the most terrifying look I had ever seen, and she was about to devour me on the spot when we both noticed that all the students had remained silent since her arrival, observing our interaction. She then pushed me aside and dismissed me to the side of the classroom, as if to indicate that I was unwanted. I sat down on an empty chair, watching her start her class, still consumed by anger.

She was very intimidating and scary, it's as if, if a student dared to speak, she could have turned them to ashes, or at least she seemed capable of doing so. It's truly frightening to me, but she had no right to talk to me like that I'm not her dog.

The class passed by very slowly, and I felt like I had been sitting on that chair for over 30 years. She didn't even glance at me during the entire class, as if my only true power was invisibility. Once the class was over, the students rushed out like Formula one cars, it was terrifying. We then remained in the classroom alone, and she began to grade papers on the desk. I, not knowing what to do, stayed there watching her, feeling like a dog waiting for its commands. "How long are you planning to stare at me like that, looking foolish?" "You were supposed to give me advice on working with the Nevers, but it seems to have slipped your mind..." I said sarcastically and she then burst into laughter, forced laughter, saying "You're making me laugh. You're not serious, I thought I would have someone competent, not a young stupid girl who arrives after the start of the year" "It's not my fault if you're not happy, you should have come to fetch me instead, unlike the 'witch' who brought me to this school, in my eyes, you look more like a wicked witch than she does"

"How dare are you..."

She stoop up, papers flying, and approached me with a menacing look, I instinctively stepped back, as if my confidence had gone off partying in Ibiza. My back hit the wall, leaving me with no room to retreat, she placed her hands on either side of my head and didn't blink once. "I won't repeat myself, you better watch your mouth before I do it for you, and believe me I would be delighted to do it" I looked at her with an angry face "Oh don't tell me you think you're scaring me, you resemble a baby whose pacifier has been taken away, now leave before I unleash my anger on you" I left without saying anything not wanting to stoop down to her level.

I headed straight to the main hall, avoiding any encounters and especially not wanting to eat in the presence of Lady Lesso.

Once I finished my lunch, I made my way to Dovey's office for my last two hours of the day with her. I knocked on the door and heard a small voice "Come in!", I entered and then closed the door behind me. She welcomed me so kindly, inviting me to sit on a chair across from her desk where she was sitting behind a stack of papers. I observed the room while she finished her work. It was much brighter and warmer than the other school and perhaps even more welcoming than the office of the other dean, even though I had never seen it, there was a gentle scent of tea mingling with the warmth of the fireplace, which was quite pleasant.

Once she finished her work, she and I began to talk about everything and nothing in particular. We discussed how I was feeling and if there was anything she could do to make me more comfortable. We also talked about the goals of the lessons I was teaching and the ultimate objective of the common class between the two schools, "Each side needs to recognize the positive impact they could have on each other, we must emphasize the importance of students learning to understand one another and the significance they bring to fairy tales too" she added.

The two hours were delightful, and I almost forgot about the previous hour with Lesso. However, I still hadn't forgotten my desire to talk to Dovey about the 'incident'.

"Oh Clarissa, may I ask you something" "Yeah sure go ahead" "During my class earlier with the Nevers, I expected to see you but instead Lady Lesso replaced you. So I was wondering if you could take her place" "Why ?" She asked confusedly "Because she was very mean to me during that hour, and-" I took a pause searching for my words "She was, no she is toxic and-" "You know" she interrupted me "She is the dean of the School for Evil" She said, slightly laughing and I looked at her, I wasn't laughing at all "More seriously, I know she can be harsh with her words, but that's just who she is, and I'm sure you're capable of giving it back to her if needed" she winked at me "But if you want I can go talk to her on your behalf and let her know what's bothering you" "No, no, no, not on my behalf please, but I would appreciate it if you could talk to her" "Of course Aurore" She said kindly.

I then left her office and went to bed, hoping that Clarissa's words would prove true and that Lesso's behavior might change.

The week was fantastic, and the classes were amazing, even those with Lesso, as my power of invisibility still seemed to work. But in the end, I think I'm really getting used to my new life, a life filled with magic. I even found time to decorate my room in my own style, and I was quite satisfied with my work. By Friday, the morning classes were calm and enriching. Even during lunch, we were all in good spirits, all the teachers from the School for Good were present and with each joke they made in return, the atmosphere became gentle and pleasant.

As I saw the next class on my schedule "Lady Lesso specialised" my joy dwindled and disappeared.

While heading toward the School for Evil, the small voice in my head spoke "You don't have to go if you don't want to, you know. It's not written anywhere that you have to attend, and Lady Lesso won't even notice the absence of an invisible being in her eyes". I was right, and if this class with her was an idea from the brilliant dean of Evil, she can go elsewhere, so I took the usual corridor leading to my quarters.

During the next few hours, unable to sleep or read, I continued with the only activity that freed my thoughts, decorating my room, I placed small candles around my bed for an aesthetic touch. My room was closed to perfection as if it had come straight out of pinterest when searching for 'dark academia'. As sleep finally began to engulf me, my legs made their way to my bed. Once I lay down, ready to drift off, I was startled so intensely that my heart skipped a beat when someone knocked so loudly on my door that it could have exploded.

Having no idea who it could be, I made my way toward the door, hearing the person continue to knock as if growing impatient "Yes, yes omg I'm coming" So I opened the door, and my eyes widened "Lady Lesso? What are you doing here at this hour?" I had completely forgotten the reason why she might be there, she looked me straight in the eyes with a demonic smile tugging on her lips, I didn't know if she wanted to kill me or torture me, it would mean the same thing.

She then began to speak with her voice, the one I hadn't had the honor of hearing for several days "I think you may have forgotten something, dear".
