HAPPY (late) BIRTHDAY KAVEH!!

Sorry I know it's late, I started writing this on his birthday and never got the chance to continue it and I was stuck at a part and then I finally knew what to do soo..- It's either now or never!

I was in my room working on a project. It was a pretty boring and ordinary day.. Although I was busy I couldn't help but feel like something was missing, like I was expecting something? Whatever it was it was making me feel uneasy, so I put my pen down and stood up to open the door.

To my suprise Alhaitham was standing outside the door.

"A-alhaitham?"

"Kaveh, I need you to go to the store and buy.. Dinner. Go buy dinner." Huh? Dinner?

"Dinner? Why me?" Uh, what?

"Just go." He replied with his usual, cold expression.

"But- I was working on some-" 

He handed me a bag full of mora. I stared at it astonished.

"Take it, and go."

"I- but this is so much?! Do I really need this much to buy dinner!?" I exclaimed, and tried giving the bag back to him but he just stood there so I stopped.

"Please just go?" He groaned and then not long after facepalmed.

"Okay! Fine, if you want me gone that much." I walked towards the door and opened it.

"stupid bitch." I grumbled as I stepped outside.

"Also, Whatever you end up with just keep." He shut the door behind me.

"H-huh!?" I turned around and stared at the door in disbelief. At this point me and the door were having a staring contest.

A few moments later I heard Alhaitham yell, "Go to the store!" 

I didn't reply to him and simply left. I decided to walk because 1st, why not? 2nd, It was a nice day + it wasn't that hot. I hummed to myself as I walked. I didn't know where to go really so I just went to a little store not too far away.

I walked into the store and immediately started thinking about what to get.

 -walking home <3- (sowey I didn't know what to make him buyy)

The walk home was pretty much the same to the walk there.. I arrived at our house and walked inside. There was nobody there.

Hm.. I could've sworn Alhaitham would've been on that couch reading whatever he reads..

I set the grocery bag on the table.

"Alhaitham...~?"

There was no response.

Did he leave? No, he wouldn't do that to me. Would he..?

I walked to his bedroom to see if he was in there but he wasn't.

I then checked mine just incase he was in there snooping around or whatever. There was nobody there either.. As soon as I was about to walk out something rolled and hit my foot.

Huh?

I picked it up, and I happened to be one of Tighnari's bombs.(?)

How did this get here?

I looked around the room and at my desk. I saw a sticky note that I had not put there.

Looks like Alhaitham's handwriting!

I read the note:

"If you're looking for me come to the bathroom"

That's all? Why would he be in the bathroom??

I walked to the bathroom and the door was open, but I didn't see Alhaitham. Is this some sort of prank?

...

Oh, another note!

"You didnt really think I'd be here, right? Well as you can see I'm not. Come to the Palace, I promise I'll be there."

The palace? Oh! He must mean The Palace of Alcazarzaray.

I traveled to the Palace and walked around. No Alhaitham?

I decided to sit on a bench and take a break. This is tiring.. and my legs hurt.

After a few minutes of sitting..

I stood up. Where is he.. He said he'd be here, guaranteed. ... Another note?! There was a note beside me on the bench, not completely sure how I didn't notice it. I picked it off of the bench and read it.

"Sorry, I'm not there. I promise I'm back at our house though."

Our house? I chuckled softly and stood up to walk back home.

This guy..

I finally arrived back home and opened the door.

"Surprise!!" Tighnari, Cyno, Collei, and Alhaitham cheered happily. Well, no, my bad. Alhaitham kinda just said it but still-

Le gasp "H-huh!?"

"Happy birthday, Kaveh." Cyno walked up to me and hugged me. Wait- what!? Hugged me?  I never thought I live to see the day where the General Mahamatra hugs me-

Tighnari and Alhaitham did the same and my face turned bright red. Collei was standing alone and smiling. Tighnari motioned for her to join them and reluctantly, she did.

I laughed happily and so did Cyno and Tighnari. "Heh, thank you." They all pulled out of the hug and I let out a breath. "Sorry, were we hugging you too tight?" Tighnari asked, chuckling.

"Nope, you're fine!"

"heh, gifts or cake first?"

"Don't people usually do cake first?" Cyno asked, squinting his eyes.

"I thought they did gifts first though..?" Tighnari and Collei replied at the same time, chuckling at the fact.

".. Let's just let Alhaitham pick." Cyno said, whilst scratching the back of his head.

"Oh? Alright.. I thought they usually do cake first, but since the gifts are more fun, let's just let Kaveh open them now."

"Uhh, that's kind of a stupid reason.." I shook my head. "But if that's what he wants, then sure."

"Stupid reason, psht." He muttered back.

"Whose do you want to open first?" Tighnari asked.

"I don't know- Can you just give me one?"

"Oh, heh, sure." Tighnari turned around and grabbed one off of the table.

"Here, I think this is Cyno's." Cyno nodded and crossed his arms.

"Oh?" I unwrapped it and gasped. "Aww! you got me this?"

It was a mini terrarium, and it had a mini scarab in it. (a mini scarab figure btw, It's not real hehe)

"It's adorable! I love it, thank you Cyno." I smiled and he returned the smile with another.

I opened Tighnari and Collei's gifts, there were gifts from others too. Soon enough I got to the last gift, and it coincidently happened to be Alhaitham's. I unwrapped it and my jaw dropped in awe.

"YOU GOT ME THIS!?"
