Why is it such a challenge to ensnare Tara in my intricate plan? But I must admit, I thrive on challenges. I orchestrated a fire in her warehouse, covertly dispatching some men and making it appear as an accident.

My plan unfolded seamlessly. I intended for Tara to extend her stay in America, and luck seems to be on my side, as it will take two months for her security cameras to be delivered.

I yearn to have her by my side in my lavish mansion, where we can meet, converse, and interact on a daily basis. However, Ms. Singhaniya proves to be quite stubborn. Nonetheless, I have made the necessary arrangements.

She requires a place near my office and the ongoing work at my foundation. Thus, I took precautions to ensure that no one in the vicinity would offer Tara Singhaniya accommodation.

Consequently, she will have no choice but to stay with me. "Ace, are you going through all this just to use her for your pleasure?" Arthur questioned. I swiveled my chair towards him and contemplated his words. Until now, my motivations revolved around mere physical satisfaction.

"Because, Ace, you can have any woman at the snap of your fingers, so why bother with that poor girl?"

I don't know. Ever since I first laid eyes on her, I couldn't help but be captivated by her presence. The desire to possess her grew within me. But what exactly is it? I can't define if it's lust, attraction, or something deeper.

"Keep in mind, Ace, Tara is not the kind of woman who engages in casual encounters. She comes from a respectable family, especially being Indian. You should know how sensitive Indian people can be. Tara may appear strong, but deep down, she is delicate. As your best friend, I'm warning you, if your intentions are merely to exploit her, then you need to decide what you truly want. Just remember, if she falls in love with you and you engage in a physical relationship only to abandon her, you will shatter her heart."

How does he possess such knowledge? Has he become close friends with Tara? "How do you know so much about Tara?" I inquired, but he remained silent, staring back at me. "Um... well," he hesitated, glancing around, conveying his thoughts of 'What have I gotten myself into?'

"I have some work to attend to. I'm leaving," he quickly stated, making his way out of the office. Something feels fishy. How does he know so much about Tara?

But what he said holds truth. I, too, don't want Tara to fall in love with me. All this love, emotions, and irrational infatuation feel pointless. Besides, I doubt there's any woman in the world who could make me genuinely fall for her. It's all nonsense and a waste of time.

So what you're doing isn't a waste of time?. My inner conscience reminded me.

My attention drifted away as my phone started ringing. It's a good thing it did. The caller ID displayed Tara's name, which I saved as 'Star' for some inexplicable reason. I can't quite grasp why I gave her a nickname; it feels cringe-worthy to me. But in Tara's case, everything feels different.

If this isn't love, then what is it?. My inner conscience playfully taunted me. I rolled my eyes and answered the call.

"Hello, Ms. Singhaniya," I greeted. "Hello, Mr. Martin. I... actually... umm," she began but hesitated. I patiently waited for her to finish her sentence.

"Can I stay at your mansion with you? I don't want to impose, but I can't find a place to live. So, is your offer still open for me?" I smirked.

Her voice carries such politeness. It's not always like this when she talks to me. Well, finally, my plan is falling into place. "Hmmm..." I pretended to contemplate.

"If the offer is not available, then it's okay. I can manage--" "All my offers are always open for you, Star," I interrupted. There was a momentary silence between us. I considered saying something, but before I could, she uttered, "Thank you so much, Mr. Martin."

A smile appeared on my face. Truthfully, thanks to you, Star, for unknowingly taking another step towards fulfilling my plan. "It's alright. You can proceed to my mansion now. I'm occupied at the moment, so we'll meet during dinner time," I instructed.

"Yes, absolutely. Thank you," she responded with a sweet voice, and she ended the call. I twirled my phone in my hand, smirking.

Now, the real excitement begins. I dialed Mrs. Johnson, the head of all the maids in my household. It took her a mere two seconds to answer the call, saying, "Yes, Mr. Martin?"

"There will be a girl named Tara Singhaniya arriving, and she might be accompanied by a boy. I want you to assign them separate rooms, ensuring that Tara's room is adjacent to mine. Do you understand?"

"Yes, sir, okay," she acknowledged, and I promptly hung up the call.
