Yes, you heard it right. I, Tara Singhaniya, will now be staying in my enemy's house. I didn't have any other option. No one is willing to give me a place to stay. I'm getting angry at myself and also feeling like crying.

I'm angry because I had to talk to Ace with love in order to stay with him, and I have to always speak to him with love now. Ahh!! This is so frustrating, my goodness.

The car stopped in front of a big gate and the gate opened, and Yash drove inside. Yash stopped the car in front of the mansion, and we both got out. "Hello, ma'am, I will park your car. Please give me the keys," a man in a suit said. Yash gave him the keys.

I looked towards the mansion, and it is indeed quite big. But does Ace really live alone in such a huge house? I never found out anything about his family. Well, let's see how this mansion is from the inside.

I entered the mansion and an elderly woman, probably in her 40s or 45s, greeted me. She said, "Welcome, Ms. Singhaniya, you can call me Mrs. Johnson."

"Hi, thank you so much for your hospitality, mam" I said. "Oh please, don't call me 'mam'," she said, and I nodded with a smile.

"Come, let me show you your room," she said, and I followed her.

In this stormy night, I am in my room, and it's about to strike midnight. As usual, I am working on my laptop. I've already taken a shower and had dinner, but Ace hasn't returned from work yet. He must be really busy.

When I entered the room, I didn't expect it to be so luxurious. It's not like my mansion isn't luxurious, but Ace's mansion feels like heaven. My room is also fantastic, offering a view of the entire city.

"Ah, I'm hungry," I said to myself. I had already eaten, but I was feeling hungry again.

I closed my laptop and went outside. The mansion is quite dark, but not so much that I can't see anything. I went inside the kitchen and started looking for something to eat.

By mistake, my hand hit a plate, and it fell down. They say that even in complete silence, the sound of a pin dropping can be heard around the world. But here, when the plate fell, the noise was very loud.

Suddenly, someone pulled me and pressed me against the kitchen counter, and I felt a gun on my waist. Whoever it was, his hands were rough but warm, and I could feel his breath near my lips.

It was dark in the kitchen, so I couldn't see who was in front of me. "Whoever you are, I am not a thief," I said, and his grip on my arm loosened.

"Star? What are you doing here?" Oh, so it's Ace.

"Mmm, I was hungry, so I came to the kitchen," I said, and he sighed. "I thought someone else was here," he said.

It was pitch dark, and Ace was still standing very close to me. "Um, can we turn on the lights?" I asked, and he chuckled. His voice is so deep, and when he chuckled, I felt butterflies in my stomach.

"Of course, Star," he said and turned on the lights. Suddenly, everything was bright, so I closed my eyes for a moment and then opened them again. Everything looked fine.

I noticed Ace had put his gun back in his pants. "Why do you have a gun?" I asked, and he looked at me. "Um... I have many enemies, so I always have to carry one," he said, and I found it suspicious.

"But why do you have enemies?" I asked. He chuckled and stalked towards me, and each of his steps was intimidating. "I am a very successful businessman, Star. So obviously, I'll have enemies," he said, and I nodded.

I looked around, and he asked, "I have noodles. Do you want to eat?" he asked, and as soon as I heard the name noodles, a huge smile appeared on my face. "Yes!!" I might have said it a bit too loudly. He chuckled and moved around the kitchen.

Fuck, this is embarrassing.

Ace took off his coat, and his muscles flexed. Wow, he looks so sexy. What are you thinking, Tara? You're going crazy. I mentally scolded myself. I sat on a chair, and in front of me, Ace was making noodles, but instead of looking at the noodles, I couldn't help but keep looking at him.

"Hmm, I figured it out today," he said, and my attention shifted, curiosity piqued. "What did you figure out?" I asked.

"That I am handsome, sexy, and hot" he said, and I raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?" I asked.

"Well, the way you're staring at me, anyone would figure it out," he said, and once again, I felt embarrassed.

"I wasn't ogling you," I protested.
Haha, that's a lie. My conscience teased me.

He chuckled again and served me the noodles. I took the noodles and started eating.

I was enjoying my noodles, and I felt that Ace's gaze was solely on me. "I also figured something out today," I said.

"What?" he asked.

"That I am also hot, sexy, and beautiful," I looked up at him, and he scratched his neck, sharing the same embarrassment as mine. I chuckled and continued eating.

"I wasn't ogling you," he said in his usual tone. I chuckled, "Of course you weren't," I said, and Ace smiled. It was a genuine smile. And if I were to say that Ace doesn't look cute when he smiles, that would be a lie because he looks adorable while smiling.

I think it won't be that difficult to be with Ace. If I take it in a positive way, I might get a chance to know Ace better.

"By the way, why do you call me Star? My name is Tara, not Star," I asked.

"I know," he said.

"Then why do you call me Star?"

"It's a nickname, Star," he said.

"I know, but I don't think we're that close to give each other nicknames," I said, and he chuckled again, causing butterflies to flutter in my stomach. Stupid butterflies.

"I know, and if you don't want to give me any nickname, that's fine. I don't need one. But I'll still call you Star. If it bothers you, just let me know," he said.

My goodness, his words sound so romantic. "No, I don't have any problem," I said.

I hope I don't' start liking him just because I want to get to know me. That shouldn't happen at all.
