Atomu awoke to a few birds sitting on the outside windowsill of the Magnanian inn he rented. With a loud snore and a yawn, he moved out of bed, opened the window, and the birds flew away, much to his surprise. He raised an eyebrow, and moved on with his day, quickly putting on some quick robes and heading to the washroom near the main square of inns in Homieo, finding a secluded bath and relaxing it for about fifteen minutes.
He finally put on the rest of his clothes and stepped out, stretching a little, before treading the same path he took every day.
First, a few minutes with Ella and Elton at the bar, with a hearty breakfast, and then he headed to work to get some money. On days when Atomu didn't have to do such, he spent them either sleeping or in the bar with the others.
Jyuzou received small amounts of Silver for discovering any plants trying to squeeze through the stones in Midcity, buried under. He was tasked with finding and placing them in a separate, glassed garden built after last year's attacks. It was Lamon's request, as he hesitantly admitted that Magna lacked natural beauty. With a boosted paycheck from Eryk, he gave some to the young Morian.
...and as you might have expected, Chyuuichi spent his money and time at the various casinos, either hidden between quaint or rundown streets in Handulia. It's win or loss, and you rarely ever saw him in Magna without a black eye.
Atomu stepped into Midcity, taking a boat earlier, and immediately headed towards the bar, opening the door and walking up the stairs, met with a rather surprising view.
"Chyuuichi?" Atomu asked, walking up to the Mirillian sitting next to the counter separating him and Ella.
"Oh, Atomu!" Chyuuichi waved.
"Thought you'd be elsewhere." Atomu sat next to the Mirillian, quickly shaking Elton's hand, who stood up from a small stool behind Ella.
"Nah, I'm done with that life!" Chyuuichi raised his fist. "I realised that, perhaps, this isn't the way to make things right."
"I'm glad then, Chyuuichi." Elton smiled, putting his hands together. "It was a bad habit after-"
"IT'S ALL ABOUT PONY RACING THESE DAYS!" Chyuuichi took out a small ticket from his pocket and raised both hands like it was some form of blessing. "I'm betting all my money on horse number 7!"
"I hate that I know where you got that idea from," Atomu muttered, making a strange face.
"They have something like that in Magna?" Elton asked.
"Yep," Ella answered, busy mixing alcohol with coffee. "How come you didn't hear horses stampeding? Tributals enjoy it."
Atomu slammed his head on the counter, and Elton giggled a little.
"It's okay, my friend," Elton muttered, patting his back.
Ella whistled, smiling, putting two glasses on a nearby table and walking back. Atomu sighed, while Chyuuichi stared at the ticket with widened eyes.
...and Jyuzou began his day at work, fortunately for him and to the jealousy of others, he had the comfort of choosing which days he wanted to be active and on which days he wanted to rest, but Jyuzou never really considered the latter. He took his job very seriously, while others gave him mean looks when he dug the plants out from beneath the patterned grounds. He took his book out and started scanning for anything that seemed out of sight, finally spotting a purple crown desperately peeking out.
He ran forward, pushing a Morian to the ground, albeit accidentally, and landed near the flower, just close enough not to destroy it.
He took his Guardian Demon out and started poking behind the stone, finally lifting it and pushing.
