Dressed in the girl's clothes of the morning he found himself before his own parents.
Teresa: Oh my God you are a love Jim!
He could not say anything and he felt too embarrassed.
Vicky: You should thank Jasmine.
Teresa: Your sister is right miss.
Thomas: You are the same as your sister at your age.
Jim: But I... I mean...
Vicky: You still haven't said thank you.
Teresa: Take a bow in the meantime, please! You are so pretty!
With tears in her eyes she swallowed.
Jim: Tha-thank you... - he said bowing.
Vicky: No miss! You have to say "Thank you mommy."
Jim: Absolutely not!
Teresa: Young lady keep your voice down! Your big sister is just trying to help you! Now do as she advised!
Jim: Thank you mommy. - Said leaning over and smiling.
Teresa: Oh my goodness that's so cute!
Jim: Can-can I take it off....
Thomas: You need to be more confident. Don't stutter and just interrupt the adults.
Teresa: Your father is right Jasmine. We saw all the pictures of the costumes you tried on today! You looked really polite dressed as a princess, we expect similar behavior.
Vicky: So can we keep her? Please? She's too pretty Jasmine!
Jim: Wh-what?
Thomas: Don't interrupt the others young lady.
He fell silent with bowed head.
Vicky: Please! Let's keep Jasmine! She can stay in the room with me!
She burst into tears.
Teresa: Why are you crying?
Vicky: Because she hates the idea of Jim coming back.
She felt herself being hugged.
Jim: I... I-I am a boy....
She was crying her eyes out.
Teresa: Oh baby. You're not now, you're too good like that.
Thomas: Don't worry, from now on you are and always will be Jasmine!
He felt his sister's hand take his and lead him to his new room.
