he chuckled deeply, looking only slightly down at the girl in his arms. she was almost as tall as him - her being 5'9 and him being 5'11. "you'll see me soon enough vivi."

"yeah well soon enough isnt good enough i want you too stay." she grumbled further, pushing her head into his neck, inhaling the sweet scent of his cologne.

"vivi i really have to go now. im sorry." the boy pulled away from her and a sinking feeling settling in his stomach as he looked at ivy, a massive hoodie covering her slim figure as she fiddled with the ends of the sleeves.

"m'kay. be safe. promise me lando, please drive safe."

the man in question fondly smiled down at her. "always."

lando said goodbye to max, also saying another short goodbye to ivy before he made his way through the airport. he looked behind him briefly, his stomach dropping endlessly at the sight of ivy's oh so tired face, her body currently draped with one of max's hoodies.

"c'mon ivy, lets go. we can get macdonalds on the way home." max lovingly wrapped an arm round his little sisters shoulders, guiding her out the airport.

she perked up at the mention of macdonalds, and started practically pulling her brother out the airport, now over the moon with the promise of macdonald.

"so..." max started once they were driving out the airport. ivy sighed, already guessing what the older sibling was going to say. "you? lando? whats going on there?"

"theres nothing going on max, we're just friends." she said with a roll of her brown eyes. just friends. right...?

"you sure?" max queried, trying to push a truthful answer out of her.

"yes max im- sure." ivy hesitated and instantly cursed her stupidity.

"you didnt sound very sure, vee!" max cackled, pulling up into the maccies carpark.

"shut up i had flem." ivy lied with yet another roll of her eyes.

"oh yeah sure! now tell me the truth, ivy yasmin fewtrell." max playfully joked, earning a slap around the head from ivy.

"oh look at that, here we are!" she smiled sarcastically, opening the car door and quickly leaving max behind.

"plus, if me and lando ever did get together, you'd probably murder the poor lad." ivy retorted back to the boy behind her.
