IVY FEWTRELL WAS A WRECK. ever since the girl had been left behind in landos hotel room, it was as if there was a hole in her heart, a piece of her missing.

she'd woken up at two in the afternoon, head pounding and last nights dried tears lingering on her cheeks. the hotel room had been completely cleared, not a trace of lando anywhere, and for a moment she'd began to worry she hadn't gone home with him at all.

however, what she'd found once she'd dragged herself from the security of the bed proved to be much worse.

a small, yellow sticky note lay on the dresser. landos messy handwriting splayed across the paper, no sign of caring in his manner. it read 'check out before 12. goodbye.'

the girls eyebrows furrowed? he'd left? she glanced around the room, only to see it was in-fact clear of any items belonging to the brunette boy.

she picked her phone up from the night stand, groaning when the screen remained black despite her multiple attempts to turn it on.

so, dressed in last nights dress and one of landos t-shirts with her heels in her hands, she began the walk of shame back down to her own hotel room.

pausing outside the door momentarily, she raised her hand, knocking on the door.

it swung open, revealing a rather dishevelled jacob on the other side.

"oh, hello." he muttered, piercing his lips together.

"hi." ivy muttered feebly. "can i come grab my stuff real quick please?"

he nodded, stepping out the way to allow her into the room.

"so where were you last night?" he asked, unmoved. ivys eyes darted up from the bed where she was hastily throwing clothes into her suitcase.

"oh... i didnt want to disturb you so i stayed in landos room."

jacobs face dropped. "oh. right. okay."

"no no no, nothing like that. don't worry. in-fact he didnt even stay in there as well... just me." she let out a breathy chuckle.

he nodded, eyes following the girl around the room as she finished collecting scattered items.

"okay, bye jacob-"

"you're going out like that?" he cut her off, raising his eyebrows at her with a hint of humour behind his eyes.

ivy laughed, "no... i'm going to get ready in linneas room. the world couldn't handle how i look right now."
