"There is a way. Let me tell you how." She starts "Where is he?" Eric says. "How am I supposed to ex-" "I wonder why he isn't here...Isn't this is favorite spot?" "Follow me." She says and she walks off. I follow her, she goes just a bit into the woods before stopping, looking at me and starting again. "How am I supposed explain this..." She begins. "Okay, so first what you want to do is think of the person you want to show yourself to." I close my eyes and start thinking of Eric. "Next, you want to think about your silhouette. You want to think about what you look like." I do exactly what she says. "Than you imagine the person you want to be able to see you." I imagine Eric. His soft jawline, his fit arms, it made my cheeks feel warm. Which I'm still trying to understand. "That's it." She says. I run over to Eric. "Zane!" He shouts running towards me "Where were you?" He asks caressing my cheek. "You're so cold! Here's my jacket." He puts his jacket around my shoulders. "You feel like ice! How long have you been out here?" He asks. Genuine concern in his eyes. Makes my cheeks flush "I uhm... My parents made me play outside." "Oh! Speaking of your parents, can I go to your house?" I tense. "Uh, no ...." "Why?" "Uh, we can't. My mom's friends are over and my dad doesn't like visitors!" I say, thinking the excuse is obvious. "Oh, okay!" He says, I sigh. Phew I think. "Let's go to my house then!" He says, extending the y in my. "Uh... Yea sure! Let me go take care of something first!" I say, sheer panic in my voice. "Okay! I'll wait here!" He says, eagerly. I run off into the woods
"Malaria!?" I whisper shout. "Malaria! I need you!" I raise my voice to a normal level. "What." I jump. "You have to stop doing that!" I whisper scream at her. "Sorry?" She looks even more annoyed thrn earlier. "Can I leave the premise of the house while I'm like this?" I ask talking quickly. "Yes. You can. But only if your with somebody who can see you" she explains blankly. "Thank you!" I whisper. I run a little closer to where Eric is. I stand there and close my eyes. Remembering what Malaria taught me. I think about the aspects of my body and then Eric's parents and brother. It's weird to think about Eric's family like this but I need to. I don't want anybody figuring this out. Especially Eric.
I run back into the clearing. "Hey! What did you have to do?" I tense. "I uh hadtoaskmyparents!" I say. Slurring my words a bit. "Are you okay?" He asks. He probably asks because of my word slurring. "I'm really cold. Islurmywrodswhenigetcold" I lie. Making sure to slur my words again. "Oh! Let's get going then! You think you can hold up until we get to my house?" He asks with a little chuckle. I giggle back. Why did I giggle? We started walking. "So..." I start. I don't have anything to say. The silence is just awkward. We stay quiet for what seemed like five minutes. I felt a nudge on my arm. "You should put the coat on correctly, don't want you to lose your ability to speak!" He chuckles. I make sure not to giggle like a school girl with an obvious crush. I do an awkward laugh and put my arms through his coat and zip it up. It's warm. Almost hot. I like it. We continue walking. It's still silent but love is filled in the air for what felt like forever we didn't speak. I felt something on my hand, I looked down I let his hand intertwine with mine. My cheeks go red like cherries. He looks over, I can tell he can see me blushing. I hide my cheeks in the turtleneck of his coat. He chuckles and pulls himself closer to me, moving his hand up my back and over my shoulder. I blush even harder.
When we make it to his house my jaw drops in shock. How is his house this big!? I think. What stood in front of my eyes was a huge driveway with a circle of grass in the middle making the driveway curve. In the middle of that circle is an ongoing fountain. In front of the driveway lies a 4 car garage. One garage nearest to the grand door is smaller than the rest. Like it was meant for a golf cart. Next to that is the grand door. Decorated with gold trim and intricate designs plated in gold. Infront of the door sits a grand deck. Pillars attaching to the roof over the deck. Next to the door lies a big white wall. Infront has a bunch of bushes decorated for Christmas with Christmas colored ornaments hanging in the branches of the bushes. The house looks like it is a 3 story house. It's all white and has gold trims on the gutters of the house and a grand design in the middle of the wall spreading around in different directions. Curls, twists, and turns curving under windows. A grand window showing a glittering silver chandelier right above the middle design. The tiles on the roof are a dark shade of what looks like blue. But I can't be sure. To the left of the house lies sculptures made out of bushes. Carved as a violins treble clef. With two smaller music notes next to it. The one on the left is a quarter note and the one on the right is an eighth note.
He must've noticed my shocked face. "Have you ever seen a house as big as this before?" He asks, looking at me with a sly look. "No! How could you even afford this!?" I ask. Shook. My house is the complete opposite from this. It's far away from the neighborhood but you can still walk. It has no houses relatively near it. It's a two story house with a very small basement. Only big enough to hold everybody because the rest of the space is full of boxes no one ever unpacked when we moved here 3 years ago. The living room has a wall separating the kitchen and the living room with a no glass window. In the kitchen is the stairs. Upstairs lies a platform with two hallways. The left hallway has my room, my sisters and the bathroom. The right hallway has my parents room, the guest room, and at the end of the hall is the linen closet. It holds all our towels and stuff. That's the entire house. Nowhere near the size and shape of this gigantic block in front of me. (Not a literal block)
"How do you even navigate in there!?" I say, still eyes wide, mouth open, staring at the millions of dollars put into a house right Infront of me. "I don't know, my father works somewhere, he doesn't really tell me." He explains. "Would you like to go in? You're cold aren't you?" He asks. My heart beats. He takes me inside and some young boy runs down the stairs. He's wearing a light blue sweater vest and some tan cargo shorts. He has half of his head shaved. The other side is sort of long partially covering a scar over his left eye. "Older brother!" He shouts. "Older brother?" I mumble back to myself. "Oh, this is my younger brother!" Eric explains. "He's 10, so not that much younger than me and you!" He says, somewhat cheerfully.
He leads me upstairs into his room. It's a large room with a raised platform with a bed on it. Tucked away in the right corner lies a desk, full of papers. On the left side lies a door I would assume to be the closet door. "Well, what do you want to do?" He asks. His face turning a light shade of pink. "I'm....not sure..." I say. I can feel my cheeks get hotter by the second. "Here let me get your jacket!" He offers. I start to take of my jacket to give it to him but he takes over. He grabbed my hands and put them out. He then grabbed the outer rim of my jacket and pulled it off of me gently. Making me blush. He then hang it up on a coat hanger he had in his bedroom next to his backpack. He sat down on his bed. "Wanna come sit next to me?" He asks. Patting the spot next to him.
"Well..." He starts. "I can't hold this back anymore." He says sternly. Pushing me on his comfortable bedspread. Pinning me against it. "Wha-what are you doing?" I ask. Eyes wide blushing hysterically. "What I've always wanted to do." He says. He leans down and kisses me. I'm shocked. Soon enough I close my eyes and kiss back. What's happening!? I think. He slides his hands down to my waist. Kissing me harder. He's making a mistake! I think. Trying to pull away but there's nowhere to go. Finally breaking the kiss, he opens his dreamy eyes. I get practically float away in his ocean blue eyes staring into my boring brown ones. He looks at me with a plead of concent. I think for a moment and then I nod slightly.
