A few days later, Elisa and Sanity were sitting at one of the tables in comfortable silence. Elisa was tying bundles of herbs as Sanity was drinking coffee. Sanity starts to stand up. "You better not get another cup," Elisa warns as she continues to tie the herbs together. Sanity turns to her. "I'm not getting another cup," He mutters. "Sanity Elk Bell, do not lie to me," Sanity starts walking towards the stew pot, where the coffee is. Before she could say anything, Lenny comes racing in. "They got Micah!!" He exclaims. "What do you mean?" Elisa asks. "We were in Strawberry and something happened and they're talking about hanging him!" "Here's hopin'," Elisa and Arthur mutter in unison. "Elisa, Arthur," Dutch scolds. "What? He got himself into this mess," Arthur tells him. "And he almost got Lenny here in a lot of trouble. Look at him," Everyone looks at Lenny, who's still trying to catch his breath," "Sanity," Sanity stares at the black haired man. "You should go get him," Sanity stares stoically at him. "That can wait until the morning. For now, I'll take Lenny into town for a drink," Dutch nods. "No more trouble from you!" Dutch calls after them. "I wouldn't dare!"

Elisa and Lenny ride into Valentine. "What did Dutch mean by 'no more trouble from you'?" Elisa laughs slightly. "A few of the guys and I got into a fight with some of the guys here in town," They both hitch their horses across the street from the saloon. "That doesn't sound like you," Lenny tells her as they walk into the saloon. "Well, I did stay out of the way most of the time. Until Javier decided to take on a 7 foot man by himself. Of course, I got pummeled too, but Arthur got the worst of it," They both lean on the bar. "I don't want anymore trouble," The bartender tells her. "Hey, you'll get no trouble from me. I only joined in to save my friend," He nods as he hands Lenny and her a beer. "Here's to a quiet drink," They clink their bottles together before taking a sip. "I've been with the gang for a few months now, and I've never seen you take a break," Elisa shrugs. "Most of the people in this gang are.. A bit lazy. So, I just pick up the slack. There's no time for breaks," Lenny takes a sip of his beer. "Although, that is true.. You deserve some rest," "You deserve some rest," A drunken man mocks Lenny. Lenny and Elisa stare at the man blankly. "Is.. that supposed to be funny?" Elisa asks. "'Is that supposedly funny?'? Elisa and Lenny stare at him. "Buddy, get outta here before i pop that bottle in your ass," The native woman tells him. "Fine. I was trying to be friendly.." He walks away mumbling, "There's no pleasing some folks," Lenny and Elisa sit in silence for a second before laughing.

The next morning, Arthur and Isaac walk into town. They see two familiar, groggy people sitting in front of the Sheriff's office. "Well, well. Look what we got here," Arthur states. Lenny wipes his mouth. "Arthur. Isaac," That seems to be all Lenny could say before Lenny pukes away from the others. The two men look at the native woman. "Is that a bruise?" Arthur asks. Elisa nods. "Probably," She rubs her eyes tiredly. "What happened to you two last night? You were supposed to see off Sanity this morning, remember?" Elisa groans. "I did not... remember," Arthur chuckles. "What are you two up to?" Elisa asks. "Looking for some jobs. What do you have going on today?" Isaac asks, stifling his laugh. "Oh, haha. Very funny," Elisa stands up and turns to Lenny. "Come on, kid. Let's go back to camp," Lenny nods, following her in tow.

After getting to camp, Elisa lied down on her cot. "Auntie, Auntie!" Elisa jumped up as Jack runs into her tent. "Jackie boy. What's up?" Jack grins at her. "You promised me some flowers for Momma, remember?" Elisa laughs slightly. "I did promise you. I haven't had a chance to go get them though," Jack's grin fades slightly. "Tell you what? How about you come with me and you can choose which flowers for your Mom?" His grin gets wider as he jumped up happily. "Yay!" "Meet me by Scathere and I'll be there in a bit," He nods and runs off. Elisa sighs as she leans back on the cot. "There's no such thing as one drink," She mutters to herself.

Elisa takes Jack to a small meadow near camp. "I like those red flowers!" Jack exclaims as he runs over to pick them. Elisa smiles at the little boy. "Auntie, how'd you learn about flowers and plants?" He asks as he hands them to Elisa. Elisa digs through Scathere's saddle bag and brings out some twine. "Well, when Sanity was a baby, Uncle Arthur was struggling. Especially since Sanity kept getting sick every other week," She wraps the twine around the flowers' stems. "I wanted to help Sanity and Arthur, so I started studying plant books," She hands Jack the flowers. "The more I learned, the more I knew. I knew what flowers were good for healing, what plants were good for strength... things that would help the gang survive better," Jack stares at her in awe. "We're lucky to have you, Auntie," Elisa gives him a smile. "Come on, Jackie. Let's go back to camp and give these to your mom,"
