The group gathered at the town's gazebo for the anticipated group meeting. The atmosphere crackled with a mixture of curiosity and unease. Mayor McFarlane took center stage, his voice projecting with an air of authority.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to our weekly gathering. Today, I want to shed some light on the core beliefs of our town's religion, Loopism. It is a belief system that centers around the concept of rebirth and transformation."

As Mayor McFarlane continued his speech, outlining the principles of Loopism, the group exchanged glances, their eyes reflecting a shared skepticism. He described a deity named Cathatticus, who, according to the religion, transformed individuals into angels after death, stripping them of their earthly attributes.

Jonathan leaned closer to the others, his voice barely above a whisper. "It's like he's retelling the story of the watchers, but with a religious twist. I can't believe how he's manipulating these people."

Ruthy's brows furrowed in concern. "Look at everyone. They're buying into it. They see these 'angels' as something divine, not the dangerous creatures we know them to be."

The meeting concluded, and the group was handed copies of "The Book of Cathatticus." As they settled under a nearby tree, they began reading together, their eyes scanning the pages filled with familiar names and events. The book spoke of the watchers, now referred to as "angels," and their origins. It detailed their encounters with the Venus Fly Trap and a being named Cattaticus, who bore an uncanny resemblance to Mayor McFarlane. But there was another figure mentioned—Zalgo—a malevolent presence akin to the Satan of Loopism.

Chloe's voice trembled slightly. "I can't believe it. Everything we fought through is written here. The dangers, the sacrifices, all twisted into this religious narrative."

Kirk's eyes widened as he flipped through the pages. "This is insane. They've rewritten our battles and turned them into myths. But what worries me is Zalgo. If he's the Loopism equivalent of Satan, then we might be facing a much more sinister force than we anticipated."

Determined to learn more, they decided to search the internet for information on Zalgo. Kamryn pulled out his phone, fingers flying across the screen as he typed. The group leaned in, anticipation hanging in the air.

But as the search results appeared, their hopes were dashed. There was no mention of Zalgo or any connection to Loopism. It was as if the entity had been erased from existence.

Kamryn's voice quivered with frustration. "I can't find anything. It's like Zalgo never existed outside of this book and McFarlane's twisted tale."

Jonathan clenched his fists, his determination unwavering. "We can't rely on the internet alone. We need to dig deeper, explore the town, and find the truth for ourselves. We must uncover the real origins of the watchers and put an end to McFarlane's deception."

The chapter ended with a sense of urgency and unanswered questions hanging over the group. The path before them remained shrouded in darkness, but they were resolute in their mission to expose the truth behind Loopism, the angels, and the enigmatic entity known as Zalgo.
