Dear Princess Iris,

I'm writing to inform you that I've received your letter. In response to your request, it would be a great honor for me to teach Your Highness swordsmanship.

Ezra Cyprus

I flipped the paper over to see if there was anything else written. Nothing.

Short and straight to the point, hm?

At least it seems he doesn't hold any ill feelings toward me. Otherwise, he would have just refused.

I slipped the letter deep into the drawer of my desk. It would be a problem if anyone found it.

"Lucy," I called to the door.

"Yes, Princess."

"Prepare the carriage. I'm heading out."

With an expression of confusion and surprise, Lucy slowly nodded. "Should I inform His Majesty?"

I thought it over for a moment and smirked.

"Tell His Majesty that I'm visiting the Cyprus manor."

I glanced out the window of the carriage as it approached a large gate. We finally arrived at the Cyprus manor and my nerves were growing at a rapid pace. Only after I departed from the Imperial palace did I realize how reckless it was to suddenly show up at Ezra's home.

"Your Highness, we have arrived."

The coachman helped me get down from the carriage and I awkwardly stood in front of the entrance of the manor. Shorty after, I was greeted by an older man.

"I greet Your Highness the Princess. I am the head butler of the Cyprus estate."

"Hello. I apologize for the coming without notice..."

"It's fine Your Highness. My lord has instructed me to escort you to his office."

So he knows I'm here.

I followed the butler down the long halls, taking notice of the countless stares from the servants. Of course, their master is someone who hasn't had a single romantic interaction with the opposite sex. Their minds must be running wild with assumptions since I personally came to visit him.

We reached the office on the second floor and the butler knocked. "My lord, I've brought Her Highness."

"Come in."

The butler opened the door and as soon as I walked in, he closed it and left.

Wait... Isn't it too sudden to be alone together?

I quietly observed the splendidly handsome man in front of me. Although I've seen him from a far once or twice after my possession, seeing him up close truly elevated his beauty. His black hair nicely contrasted with his grey eyes that shined brightly. His soft pink lips were captivatingly juicy. And his body was built quite-

"Ehm."

I flinched at the loud cough and forced my eyes to look up to meet Ezra's intrigued face.

"Did you get a good look?"

"I wasn't looking."

The obvious lie made me flush in embarrassment as I realized he knew damn well I was intensely studying his physical features.

"It hasn't been long since we exchanged letters. You must be in a rush seeing as you came all this way to meet me without a warning."

Ezra gestured for me to take a seat on the sofa in the middle of the room. I obediently complied and watched as he sat across from me.
