“Jennie, I’m fully aware that you’re a smart woman. And I think that you’re probably smarter than me. So what do you think? What’s the plan?” - Taehyung asked Jennie while walking around the office.
“I guess they desire to have a grandchild more than for us to get married. Maybe we could just have a child without getting married, maybe via surrogacy.” - Jennie replied as she sat on the office table.
“But are we even sure that we can be responsible. And isn’t that sad for our child, if we just decide to have the child because our parents want to.” - Taehyung.
“You had a girlfriend that you broke up with because of the planned arranged marriage right? Why don’t you just come back to her and you two get married and have a baby secretly, your parents won’t have any other choice. And they will get to have the grandchild they want.” - Jennie said sarcastically with a smile.
“And how about you?” Jennie just sighed and rolled her eyes. “How about your parents? Also we have to get married because of our families wealth. We also have to make things conjugal.” - Taehyung added.
“I don’t know, okay? Don’t ask me such questions right now, I’m stressed.” - Jennie rotated her chair to look at the City view.
“But what if, we actually try to make things work..? Because about that ex-girlfriend matter, the relationship was not healthy and we chose to not continue it.” - Taehyung went to her and asked.
“Oh, you’re interested?” Jennie asked, facing Taehyung with a fake smile raising her left eyebrow.
“Do we have any other choice? Since we’re all good with our career now. We are not dealing with any business problems. I’ve fixed my problems. And we’re done with the project.”
Jennie just stared and phased out until things sank in her mind.
“So do you think we’ll get along with each other and things will go well?” 💭‘Of course, I care about the possible outcomes and situations. As far as I know, women / wives suffer more in relationships.’
“I think so. Maybe you have the attitude and selfishness sometimes but you’re an intelligent woman right?” - Taehyung replied with a smirk.
“So if you’ll be the one to decide? What would the plan and decision be?” - Jennie seriously asked.
“Maybe get married, enjoy life even separately, and have a child later. We can still have our own spaces though, we can set boundaries.” - Taehyung also replied seriously and genuinely.
“It’s nice to hear that but I think I can’t conceive naturally. That’s one thing I know based on my recent checkups.”
“So you think of conceiving a child with me naturally?” - Taehyung smiled 💭 ‘But what if we actually try since we really have to give our parents a grandchild, I can try my best as a man though. And also Jennie is okay to be my woman--- well definitely she’s going to be because we’re really going to get married. But it doesn’t mean I do have feelings for her, I’m just trying to keep up.’
“Argh! Because that’s also what they expect.” - Jennie replied with a sigh.
“Maybe have a child whether surrogacy or IVF before we get married. It would be better if you get pregnant then we get married so we can get along.”
“You’re gonna make me suffer and bring a child to life just to make things work out. Are you still in a good state of your mind?”
“Okay, everything will be up to you.”
“I just want to not bother our parents about this, okay? They’re old and experiencing some health issues, maybe they’ll just get stressed.”
“But I’m glad that you’re an open minded woman though.” 💭 ‘Her character really gets me, it gives me interest to life being married to her.’
“You know what, I can actually marry you. Because I also don’t care about love, I don’t care if I’m going to marry someone that I don’t love. Just please be responsible and respect me, my boundaries or space.” - Jennie
“We can be married in papers only. But also we have to act out for our parents. Maybe we should practice acting like a couple.”
“Like what? How?”
“Act as a couple. Go on dates. And maybe try to be sweet to each other even just for a little because both of us have cold personalities.”
“Okay, we’ll see...”
“I’ll get going, maybe we will meet again tomorrow or by the next day--- and maybe we should practice acting as a couple.”
“Okay, bye.”
They greeted goodbye to each other with a beso-beso which was not awkward because they’re like friends and kinda close to each other.

At this point of the story, they are like cold friends who are going to develop romance. For each other, the situation and the idea of getting married is okay even though they don’t have any romantic feelings toward each other...
