The entrance to Hunter's Inc. lay ahead of them. Night had given them enough cover to infiltrate and stimulate into the ranks of the league. Their numbers had swelled to nearly a thousand, so it was easy to blend with them. Beta Riggs and Octavia looked at each other, and then at the speakers where a voice carried over the speakerphone.
"All assassins please report to the assembly room. Our leader had a very important announcement."
Octavia heard as she took Rigg's hand and ventured into the assembly room.
"Where is Atlas?"
Octavia whispered as Beta Riggs hunched up his shoulders.
"I'm not sure. But if we head towards the assembly room, I'm sure he will find us, and by us I mean you. You're his mate, there is nowhere on this damn planet that you hide where he would find you."
Beta Riggs whispered as Octavia blushed at his words. She loved how being with Atlas made her feel. She felt Bet Righs pull her closer to him, as she looked up at him confused
"There are a lot of people here. You are my Luna, and it is my pleasure to protect you. Besides if even one strand of your hair is out of place when we return, your crazy mate will hang me by the balls and hang me out to die."
As soon as he finished speaking, Octavia felt hands snake around her waist. At first, the fight response kicked in and she was ready to kill however was bold enough to touch her, but then the familiar tingles kicked in and she knew to be Atlas. It felt like fireworks lit up across her entire body, as she relaxed in his arms
"Forest green and mint."
Octavia whispered as she ew both men would hear what she had said. Her thoughts were confirmed when she saw a smirk appear on Atlas' lips.
"How can you tell? Your human, you're not supposed to be able to discern my scent like that."
Atlas whispered looking down at Octavia puzzled. She was always a puzzle to him. He could see some of the pictures, but there were a few missing pieces he could quite piece together. He could see some of the pictures, and he had a general idea of what the complete picture would look like, but without the missing pieces couldn't say for sure.
"What can I say, I guess I'm extremely special."
Octavia whispered as they focused their attention on Zyair, who had taken center stage and was ready to announce his upcoming plans to all the assassins present.
"Hunters, Huntresses, it is indeed a wonderful day. We finally have the numbers to attack. We will strike at the heart, the Alpha King's will be the first. Heads will roll."
Zyair said as all the hunters started to cheer, as Atlas listened intently. Attending a meeting where everyone wanted to kill you, wasn't as fun as one would think it would be, but the irony wasn't lost on him.
As Atlas inched closer to Octavia something dawned on him. Something that he should have figured out from the very beginning. He growled, unable to control his fury and his anger, and this warranted the unwanted attention of an assassin nearby.
Octavia elbowed him in the ribs, nearly breaking her elbow and knocking the wind out of him in the process.
"We will finally rid the world of these monsters.".
Zyair said as he left the stage.
"Come with me."
Atlas demanded as he held on to Octavia's hand and weaved and bobbed his way through a sea of assassins. He had one target in mind, and nothing will stand in his way. They followed Zyair inside a private room and Octavia bolted the door behind her the moment they entered inside
