｡⁠*⁠♡PART 17: 'Thy Joker must be Punished'♡*⁠｡⁠

Cyno finally finished wrapping Tighnari's bandages. The wrapping was surprisingly done well, in Tighnari's opinion. "Thank you..." He muttered, barely hearable. His heart was still beating at a rapid pace because of how close they were. "You're most welcome." Cyno replied. They continued to awkwardly stare at each other before Collei interrupted.

"Uhm, you guys are making the whole atmosphere weird right now, so... Cyno, did you come here for anything in particular?" Cyno immediately snapped back to reality and went closer to Collei, in order to get a 'safe distance' between them. "Oh, actually, not really. I just wanted to check on you two, but since I'm already here..."

"What about I stay with you two for the time being?"

Tighnari instantly jumped back in confusion and shock. "What? Why though?"

"Why not? I can sort things out with your mother, after all."

"That... Would make more sense..."

"So? Can I?"

Without waiting for Tighnari's calculation which takes an eternity to complete, Collei pitched in. "Sure! The more the merrier!!" Cyno's eyes instantly lit up in excitement. "Thanks! I should better settle things with your mother now, I'll be back in a jiffy!" And with that, Cyno strutted off.

Tighnari soon sighed and turned to attempt to sleep, but Collei soon dragged him out and 'made fun' of him. "Oh, nuh-uh, you ain't gonna sleep now! You just have such a CUUUUUTE moment with Cyno, how could you try to forget it by sleeping?!?!" Oh great, here we go again...

As soon as Cyno reached Tighnari's mother's room, the door flung open. "You... Why are YOU here?!?!" She barked, half-drunk. "Well, excuse my sudden appearance miss, but I'm afraid I will be staying at your house for the time being until my wedding. Any queries? If not, I will assume this has been settled."

"YOU... I am NOT letting YOU, BASTARD, stay with me in the same HOUSE!!! You are NOT allowed to-" Before Tighnari's mother could continue her bickering, Cyno whipped out his polearm and used the blunt part to stab her right on the stomach. Making sure she was unable to move freely, he then pointed the sharp part of the polearm right at her neck vain. "I don't think I told you to give your opinion, did I? I asked if you had questions. Not statements."

Tighnari's mother held her hands up slightly to show she did not want any harm. Cyno soon withdrew his polearm, but gave her a quick kick on the leg to warn her. Before Cyno left to go back to Tighnari's room, he turned his gaze to face Tighnari's mother one more time.

"Hurt Tighnari again, and you will face judgement."

After 'talking' with Tighnari's mother, Cyno and the two 'greenheads' started to chat, with Tighnari asking questions to mainly Cyno and him making random jokes that don't even make sense. Whereas Collei? Well, what else other than third-wheeling...

Tighnari and Cyno's casual talk becoming an arguement, Collei personally did not bother stopping them. However, now that she wasn't third-wheeling... She had another job to do.

Collei had heard the grand entrance's door fly open, with a feminine voice saying something. Before Collei could act, the door to Tighnari's room swung open, revealing what looked like Tighnari's mother, just younger. "S-Stand back!! Wh-Who are you to barge in on us like that? Don't tell me you're going to hit Tighnari again!!" By now, Tighnari and Cyno had stopped bickering and turned to face the younger-looking Tighnari's mother. Tighnari almost instantly fell backwards and Cyno stepped in front, as if in a defensive mode.

"Didn't I tell you to not hurt Tighnari again? Well, he's clearly traumatized by your presence. If you could, please kindly get your ass back to your room, or I'll kick it there." Cyno spoke up, looking back and forth from Tighnari to his mother. However, Tighnari's mom's reaction wasn't violent, nor was it crestfallen. It was confused. Perplexed, more like.

"I went overseas to work abroad for two years...?"

By now, two identical mothers were standing side by side at the doorway, one with rage in her eyes and the other in a state on confusion. The trio looked at each other, as if an answer could be found if they kept on staring. Which, indeed, was true at this point of time. The three of them pulled out their weapons, which Tighnari and Collei charging up their arrow with dendro. The two mothers looked at the three horrified, as they knew what was coming.

"You three, calm down now darlings! We don't need to extend to the point where violence is needed!" The younger-looking female comforted. The tension relaxed for a millisecond until the older-looking woman cut through the silence. "Why not I kill you three instead? Huh? Will that sound fair to you?! Tighnari. I gave you EVERYTHING you needed to survive. WAS THAT NOT ENOUGH?!?!" She spat, her voice becoming shrill.

Cyno's polearm suddenly went swirling straight at her face, the weapon cutting a deep scar on the side of her cheek. "Whoops, my hand must have slipped." Cyno said sarcastically. He then looked at Collei, as if trying to tell her to shoot. Finally getting the signal, Collei drew back her arrow.

"GAH-"

The older-looking woman suddenly dropped limp on the ground, arms dangling. The younger-looking female, as if realising something, dropped to the ground and started searching the older-looking woman's body, as if a treasure could be found. She then held up something she dug up from the older woman's back pocket. It was an old-fashioned pocket watch, with a picture inside. There were two young girls who looked exactly the same, with a mother in the middle of them.

"She was my twin..."

It took me so long to write this :'(

I just love building up a hated character just to make a plot twist lol

I'm having a major major exam this year(in 1-2 months) so don't expect me to post :DDDDDD

This is rushed btw :')

Anyway it's almost midnight I gotta sleep BYEEEEE!!!!!!
