Today was a great day. It was two weeks later from when Daryl showed me how to shoot and aim a gun. I missed the can a few times then I got the hang of it when Daryl said to pretend the can was a walker about to kill somebody. After a few more tries I was really good, Daryl also said that I was a good shot. I told him that I was only determined to be good.
I was sharpening my knife when someone came on Shane's radio. We could hear them, but they couldn't hear us. The man said that he was heading for Atlanta. He had no idea what was there, well from when I last saw it. It was a dead end, and I mean dead. That man doesn't know what's going to hit him when he gets there.
Earlier today Daryl left to go on a hunting trip, since his brother was in the city with some of the others.
Not many people talked to me, Daryl, Lori, Glenn, Carl, Dale and Audery are really the only people I've talked to.
Glenn was a nice aisen guy in his early twenties, he usually makes runs into the city to get supplies. I went with him this one time, he really knew his way around the city.
Amy was probably around the same age as Glenn, she said that before all this crap happened her and her sister Andrea were on a road trip, she also mentioned that they were from Florida.
Lori, I don't know what's up with her, but she's screwing Shane, she doesn't even know if Rick is really dead or not. I even saw it with my own eyes... Well from a distance of coarse.
Lori's son Carl, will not stop leaving me alone. He always asks Audrey and me to join him and Sophia. I let Audrey go, but I shake my head saying no thanks.
Dale, probably in his fifties or sixties, talks to me but not much. He never expects me to answer either. He usually talks about his wife or even the weather or some things he used to do when he traveled.
Right now I didn't want to talk to anyone. As usual I was sitting on top of the RV, watching the camp, waiting. Waiting till action happens. I could hear Dale and Jim talking as they were fixing the hose that blew out.
Amy was pacing, obvously worried about her sister, but I don't blame her, they should be back by now.
"It's late, they should be here." She mumbled.
"Worrying isn't going to make it better." Dale responded."Hello base camp? Can you hear me?" It was T-Dog.
I stood up and rushed over to the radio sitting on the cooler.
"Hello?" Reception is bad on this end." I talked into the radio.
"Is that them?" Lori asked with her right hand in her left.I didn't answer as I fiddled with the radio, trying to hear it better.
"We're in some deep shit, were trapped in a department store."
"Trapped?" Amy asked
I nodded."There are geeks all over the place. We're surrounded."
The radio made more static noises and then stopped."Hello? T-Dog?" I spoke again.
No answer.
Everyone looked at Shane."No way. We do not go after them, we do not risk the rest of the group. You all know that." Shane stated.
"So we're just going to leave her there?" Amy yelled.
"Look Amy I know it's not that ea-"
"She volunteered to go, to help the group!" She yelled again.
"I know, and she knew the consequences right? See, if she's trapped she's gone. So we just have to deal with it." Shane told her.
"She my sister, son of a bitch." She yelled as she stormed off into the RV.I smerked, you tell him girl. But then I realized.
Daryl is going to be pissed, his brother is still out there.Lori ran after Amy as the rest of us went back to our chores, just like the radio never turned on.
It soon begin to rain, I grabbed Audrey's pink rain coat and gave it to her.
About a hour or so later it stopped to rain, we herd a loud noise coming up the hill.
I grabbed Dale's binoculars and looked out in the distance by the road.
"Talk to me Bridget." Shane exclaimed, running over.
"I can't tell yet." I replied.
"Is it them? Are they back?" Amy questioned again.
"I'll be damned." I replied, "it looks like a stolen car."We all watched as a red sports car pulled up and we all walked over as Glenn hopped out, a big smile planted on his face.
"Holy shot turn that off." Dale exclaimed waving his arms around.
"I don't know how!" Glenn answered now with a more serious face.As Shane asked for Glenn to pop the hood, Amy went over to the poor guy and demanded a answer for where her sister was.
"Everybody's fine, except merel." Glenn answered when car alarm stopped.Crap.
"Are you crazy, driving this wailing bastard up here?" Shane asked, "are you trying to draw every walker for miles?"
"I think we're okay." Dale looked out at the road.
"You call being stupid okay.""Well the alarm was echoing all over these hills. Hard to pinpoint the sorce." Dale looked over his shoulder to Shane. "I'm not arguing. I'm just saying." He turned to Glenn. " it wouldn't hurt to think things through a little more carfully next time, would it?"
"Sorry, got a cool car though."
After Glenn finished a big truck approached the entrance, probably the others.
Andrea hopped out oth the back and tucked her gun in her belt and hugged Amy.
Then Jacqui, morales, and T-Dog. No merel. I heard crying, I looked over my shoulder. Carl was crying. Lori was there hugging him, I think she was too. They miss Rick.
"How'd you guys get out?" Shane smiled and shook T-Dog's hand.
"New guy." Glenn answered before T-Dog could.
"Yeah, he just got into town, we Glenn found him stuck In a tank." T-Dog finished."Hey tank boy, come on out." Morales turned to the truck.
Shane froze upon seeing the man, Carl bolted to the man. Lori too.
"Oh my god." The man wispered.
"Dad! Dad! Carl yelled as he ran. It's Carl's dad. I watched as they hugged as a group. They were a family again. A whole.
