"Why can't I go with you?" I asked Daryl, "I want to help!"

"We're going to Atlanta, Audrey. That city is overrun with walkers, if you die who's going to take care of Bridget? We all have our own needs and tasks and yours is taking care of her." He replied.

I sighed and hugged him, "good luck and come back." I told him.

"I will kid." He patted my head and he was gone.

I trugged to my tent. I didn't want to be near anyone right now. Grabbed my Harry Potter book and headed for my rocks. After a little while of reading I went back to camp, I got Bridget in her swim suit the I got into mine.

We met Glenn near the hill to go down to the river. He had shampoo and conditioner and we had the towels.

Andrea and Amy where fishing near by, the water was cold but it was refreshing.

We finished we sat on the ground, I brushed Bridget's long blond hair and tied it into a braid.

Andrea and Amy had already caught six fish but are planning to get more.

Once we finished we waited for Andrea and Amy to come back. Then we headed up the hill.
"How much did you get?" Bridget smiled.

"Probably around 15-18 fish in total." Andrea held up one rope of fish.

Once we got to the top, the camp was empty.

"Where is everyone?" I asked.

"Up there." Bridget pointed.

"Alright it's time for school. Kinda. Anyway, here go into the tent and put this on, Carol, Lori and Carl will be waiting outside." I told her as I gave her a blue dress, tan leggings and her black boots.

While they went to learn math and other crap I don't think we need to know anymore, I help Andrea and Amy with the fish. T was something Daryl taught me, skinning animals.

Later that night we all sat around a camp fire and ate our fish. Bridget sat next to me, enjoying her fish very much.

Morals started to laugh.
"I've got to ask you something, man. It's driving me crazy." Morals said looking at Dale.

"What?" He smiled.
"That watch."
"What's wrong with my watch?" Dale asked.
"I see you everyday, the same time, winding that thing like a village priest saying mass."
"I've wondered myself." Jacqui commented.
"I'm missing the point."

Everyone laughed.

"Unless I've misread the signs, the world seems to have come to an end." Jacqui said.

"But then there's you winding that stupid watch." Morals laughed.

"Time is something you should always keep track of, right? The days at least. Don't you think Andrea? Back me up here. I'm like what, um, a father said to his son when he gave him a watch that had been handed down through generations." Dale told us, "I'll give you the mausoleum of all hope and desire, which will fit your indevisual needs no better than it did mine or my father's before me; I give it to you not that you may remember time, but that you may forget it for a moment now and then and not spend all of your breath trying it conquer it." He finished.

"You are so weird." Amy laughed.

Everyone started to laugh. It was great here, safe and nice. We don't need anything else. All we need is a look out on top of the RV 24-7 and Dale is working on that.

I nudged Bridget, "time for bed."

She set down her stuff and said goodnight to everyone.

"Night." Everyone replied.

Once we got inside we threw on our pajamas and laied down.
"Why don't you talk to anyone that much?" Bridget wispered.

"I don't want to get to close to everyone." I told her closing my eyes.

"Why?" She asked again.

I opened my eyes and I looked at her.

"Sorry."
"I don't want to get to close to anyone because one day there going to die. If I stay distant, it will be easier to move on."
"Are you going to die?" She asked me again.
"Yes. Eventually. Maybe tomorrow, maybe a week from now or maybe even next year."
"I don't want you to die."
"Dying isn't a choice, it just happens, now go to bed it's getting late and you have school tomorrow." I smiled.

I woke up to something clawing at the tent. I grabbed my gun from under my pillow and aimed it to the shadow.

"Hello?" I called out to the shadow.

No reply. I unzipped the tent and shot the shadow, it fell forward and its toriso fell into the tent.

Bridget screamed.
"C'omon!" I yelled to her grabbing her hand.

We ran out of the tent, they where everywhere. There where screams coming from all directions. We exited the tent. I looked around trying to figure out a plan. My eyes landed on Daryl's blue truck and I ran towards it, still holding onto Bridget.

I shot every biter in my way, around me, around others. Luckily, the car was unlocked. I opened the door and put Bridget inside.

"Lock the door and don't let anything inside other than me, or the people around here that we know."

"Where are you going?" She asked.

"I'll be fine." I told her running off.

I got corned. Biters coming in ever direction.
"Shit." I wispered. I ran back for the truck and banged on the window. Bridget let me in and we sat there with walkers all around us.

"Audrey! Bridget!"

"Daryl?" I wispered.

I looked around. Daryl was far, fending off what he could. He can't get to us so we have to get to him.

Plug your ears as tight as you can!" I yelled to her.

I rolled out the window and stuck my gun out. I started shooting them in the head.

There were still like 6 more when my gun ran out of ammo.

"Daryl!" I screamed out the crack of the window.

He was still far over there, he could hear us anymore.

"On the count of three I'm going to open the door and you are going to run, okay?" I told Bridget.

She nodded and I opened the window a little more, I gripped my barrel of my gun and bashed the biters head. More came around to us.

"Okay one, two three, go!" I yelled.

Bridget started running as fast as her little legs could take her, she jumped into Daryl arms and cried in his shoulder.

I counted myself down next.
One, two, three, then I ran, th tripled and fell a biter grabbed my ankle and pulled me back.

"Daryl! Somebody!" I screamed.

I turned back, the biter was dead with an arrow sticking out of his forehead. I got up and sprinted again.

Once I got out if there I hugged Bridget, then Daryl.
"You bit or scratched?" He asked me.
"No I'm fine."

I looked at Bridget's arms and legs, she's fine too. Phew.
