A lot of people died back there. There wasn't many that survived. So much for having a great sleep. Everyone slept in the RV that last night.
Amy died, Andrea haven't moved her body since last night. I don't blame her. Everyone's been cleaning up, throwing dead corpses into a pile and lighting them to burn.
We buried the ones we loved.
I've been cleaning through my parents car, we're going to leave. I was getting rid of shit we didn't need so we could put some more useful stuff in here. I also went into the our dead people's tents and scavenged in there.
There was a commotion in the RV, and when I went over there, Daryl told me to stay back, to go resume what ever I was doing. No one would tell me anything that happened. The only thing I know was it was about Jim, since he was sittin away from everyone on the other side of the RV.
I had Bridget help me take everything over by the fire and told her to make sure it stayed sorted by food, drinks, weapons, and clothes.
Once I got most of the things from the tents, I went over to the fire to help Bridget. I heard groans, I look over to Andrea. Amy was walking.
"I love you." She whispered
Bam. I saw Andrea shoot Amy in the temple as she was grabbing her hair.
I winced as Amy's head hit the ground. I would never be able to do that to Bridget, bit or not.
Once Daryl drove the bodies up the hill, where the graves are dug, everyone followed. Lori said that we needed to hold onto ourselves, that we needed time to mourn and to bury the dead.
We put everyone but Amy in a grave. Andrea wanted to bury her sister herself. Dale tried to help her but she refused.
I stood next to Daryl, he was holding Bridget. Once Amy was placed in her grave, Andrea and Shane covered her body in dirt. Once that was done, we all walked back to camp.
Daryl told me to pack my stuff and Bridget's. Apparently Rick wants to go to the CDC, sinse Jim was bit. That's why there was an argument this morning over by the RV.
Shane wanted to go to Fort Benning, which was a problem because it was at least one hundred miles away in the opposite direction of the CDC.
Bridget packed her bag and I packed mine. I put both of our stuff in the back of the SUV. Well, everything except a change of clothes and our sleeping bags and pillows.
That night everyone gathered around for a small meeting.
"I've uh, been uh, thinking about ticks plan to go to the CDC.
Now look, there are no guarantees either way. I'll be the first to admit that. I've known Rick for a long time. I trust his instincts. I say the most important thing here is we need to stay together." Shane announced, "who ever agrees, we leave first thing tomorrow morning, okay?"The next morning Iput away our dirty clothes and out sleeping bags and pillows. I made sure Bridget's car seat was secure before meeting with the rest of the group. For some reason. They let me drive by myself, but I'm pretty sure it was Daryl who convinced them.
"Everybody listen up! Those of you with CBs, we're gonna be on channel forty. Let's keep the chatter down, okay? Now, you got a problem, don't have a CB, can't get a signal, anything at all, your going to beep your horn one time. That will stop the caravan. Any questions?" Rick explained.
"Uh. We're not going." Morals rubbed the back of his neck, "we have a family in Birmingham. We want to be with out people." His wife told us.
"If you leave, user won't have anyone watching you backs." Rick answered.
"We'll take the chance." Morals stated.
Rick and Shane have Morals a guns mad a box of ammo for their drive. Everyone said there goodbyes.
I stayed I the truck and Bridget went to say bye to Morals' kids. Bridget got into the truck in her car seat and buckled up. I grabbed the keys from my back pocket and started the truck.
I followed T-Dog's van and Daryl's truck was behind me.
After a few hours, the RV stopped working and we had to stop. Me and Bridget stayed in the car and Daryl went to see what was going on.
"I'm hungry." Bridget sighed.
"Alright." I got out of the truck and went into the small compartment that I put the extra two gallons of gas on.I pulled out a box of animal crackers.
"want some?" I looked at Carl and Sophia. They both nodded and the three of them dug in.
"Hey another damn tree." Jim laughed as Shane and Rick set him down.
"Hey Jim, you know it dosnt mean to be this way." Shane said.
"Yes, I know. It's all good." He looked at him.
One by one, everyone said there goodbyes.
"You keep your sister safe." Jim told me.
I nodded and grabbed Bridget's hand and leaded her into the truck.
We all got back into our cars and trucks and drove alway. At least the RV didn't take long to fix.
We kept on driving for another few hours, when the sun began to set, we arrived in front of the CDC.
I made sure my gun was fully loaded and ready to fire.
Smell
Was terrible.'there were flies and bodies littering the path up and I front of the doors. I was starting to doubt that the CDC was up and running. Bridget and I put our shirts over our mouths to keep the stench alway. We finally made it to the front door, except it wouldn't open.
"There's nobody here." T-dog looked tante doors, seeing of they would open another way.
"Then why are these shutters down." Rick questioned.
"Walkers!" Daryl exclaimed.
I pulled Bridget closer to me as I used my other hand to shoot with the others.
"You led us into a graveyard!" Daryl finished.
"Shut up, you hear me? Shut the fuck up." Shane pointed his finger at Daryl.
Shane turned to Rick, "Rick it's a dead end, let's leave."
"No." Rick turned towards the doors again.
Shane started to pull Rick away.
"It moved!" Rick said fightin shames grasp, the camera moved!""Stop, your loosing it Rick!" Lori stepped in.
"Your killing us! Your killing us!" Rick
Shouted to the camera.Bridget was crying into my shirt, I held her closer. Them, the shutters opened and the blinding white light came from inside.
