Arella Swan has never been the soft or nice twin. No, she's always been the mean one; the harsh one for simply speaking out on truths, and not holding back from speaking her mind. It was all she has ever been told, but she wasn't going to change who she was just because a few peoples feelings get hurt.
She is more outspoken, and feels the need to talk out every little thing in order to get her point across without misunderstandings, unlike Isabella, who keeps everything inside in order for peace and silence to take over. The girls minds are polar opposites while their appearances and hearts are almost identical.
And there are times were Arella can't stand herself but there had to be someone with an actual reasonable and realest mindset in the Swan family, even if it meant being disliked by all. Her wise inputs and life choice remarks sparked an irritable flame inside her mother, Renee, who could only picture her as a problem instead of a daughter, as to never being able to see eye to eye. Their differences made them grow apart, which made Isabella choose her mom, and Arella choose her dad in the custody battle. Luckily, they would get the chance to see each other each summer.
It was a tough process but there was nothing else they could do. Their mother had already made up her mind and their father could do nothing but watch.
The separation held a great impact on the girls minds but not hearts. The pain only made them grow stronger, and their bond to grow thicker. The summer visits felt shorter but their memories were infinite as with each rare moment, Arella captured them with a camera Charlie bought her on her 10th birthday.
He knew the girls were inseparable. They cried together, laughed together, and cause trouble together. They were the towns little devils. They complimented each other.
One as hard as concrete, and the other as soft as the flower growing from its cracks.
So he wanted them to capture what he saw and keep them forever frozen in time when the flash went off.

Every camera Arella Swan held, was full of events she wished she could live once again after reaching high school.
In the photographs she held only smiles and happiness, while now in her junior year she could only feel a aching pain of loneliness as to not having seen her other half for over three years now. Life had become painful and dull in her vibrant green eyes.
She had few friends, yet hanged out at home for most of her free time. Her life was simple and easy to live, even with the seasonal depression kicking in.
She could feel no true drive to keep going unless she was holding a camera in her palms or had her father by her side. But then something unexpected happened the day she ran into the Cullen's for the first time since they've moved into Forks, causing a strange electric surge to run through her, dragging her into the unwanted parts of life.
The ones that were never meant to exist.
The ones she will try her best to deny.

Thing was, the Swans were known for holding their damaged hearts on their sleeves. It runs through their blood, and eats them inside out the moment they begin to fall. So, it came to be no surprise when the Cullen family suddenly collided with theirs, seeming to suck them dry of all their love and hatred.
Creating new issues, and new lines between life and death to cross.
