"Arella," a scuffed voice whispered.
The girl's eyes twitched at its tone, feeling her slumber begin to cease. "Arella, it's time to wake up." They nudged again. Arella shut her eyes tightly, hoping it would go quiet, but the voice kept on. At feeling no end to the voice, the young girls eyelids fluttered open, revealing her forest green eyes to the ceiling.
"Come on, baby. It's time to say goodbye."
There was sadness leaking into the room, striking Arellas tender heart, triggering her eyes to shift down towards the motion felt near the bedside. Her eyes met tired brown orbs, causing her heart to sink deeper into her chest. "There's no point," She mumbled out.
Her father stared at her with the same dejected expression, finding the situation as hurting as her. His lips curved lowly, creating frown lines to over take his young gaze. Their skin held no color, no glow, reflecting their souls at the moment. They didn't deserve this hollowness, yet they had no choice but to endure it as Renee Dwyer took it upon herself to make a life changing decision, not caring for the chaos that was to emerge from it.
Everything happened so quick. Within the span on two months, Renee had already contacted a divorce lawyer and set the wheels in motion for custody of one child.
