"Serenity! Serenity! They are here! We need to go!!" said Sylvia, grabbing her backpack she filled with her belongings for this situation.
"Oh no! No. This was not supposed to happen. Hurry! You go first, after all, you are the one they want! Serenity told Sylvia in a whisper, copying Sylvia's actions. "Go!"
"But what about Mom and Dad?"
"Hurry! We have no time to lose. Go!!!!"
Sylvia ran, ran faraway, just like when she was three. Her bare feet started to hurt since she did not have time to put shoes on, yet she kept running, her feet pounding on dirt and hard, sharp stone. Every so often, people would give her strange looks since she was covered in dirt, barefoot, dripping from head to toe from running in the rain. Animals would also look her way, smelling her strong presence because she was an angel/phoenix hybrid, disguised in a human form.
Sylvia was the last of her kind ever since a very evil organization killed her family, along with the others of her kinds since they were powerful and each angel/phoenix had its own power when they were eighteen, sometimes multiple if they were meant to become the leader of the universes and beyond, someone like Sylvia. Those types of Angel/Phoenix were immortal unless starved without food or water for 600 days or stabbed the 5000 times before they turned eighteen and then they couldn't die until they wanted to.
That dreadful day, they were there to kill her. Now, they are still trying, before she manifests her powers, when she is still defenseless and dumb, or so they thought. Sylvia wasn't dumb because she was a certified genius with an IQ of 132.
She finally reached her destination, a cave, she knew Serenity, Mom and Dad would find her here. Quickly she went into a cave, avoiding traps and went into the deepest part of the cave. That part of the cave was rather beautiful, walls scaled with gems, each one different with its own design. Sixteen little light bulbs that looked like butterfly cocoons hung from the top of the walls, a stunning chandelier made from glass, shells and turquoise hung from the middle of the ceiling and carpet made from silk that was dark blue and seafoam green was laid out on the floor, covering the sharp rocks.
Two bunkbeds were across from each other in the cave room with little space between them which a little stream of water went through a hole in the wall, the water pooling in a basin. Sylvia put her books, clothes, and accessories in the drawer under the bottom bunk, leaving space for Serenity to put her stuff in the drawer under the top bunk. Serenity finally came and put her stuff in the drawer under the top bunk.
They waited, sitting on their beds, reading books, drawing, and sculpting mini statues of famous land-marks.
Thirty minutes passed and Serenity told Sylvia that she was going to go scouting to find them. "Can I go too Serenity? Please!!!!" Sylvia said. "No, it's not safe." Serenity replied.
Waiting more than 1 hour for Serenity, Mom, and Dad, Sylvia started to get worried. Finally, Serenity came back from her scouting, but without Mom or Dad. There was no need for an explanation, Serenity's eyes said it all. They were gone, our house burned up, taking them with it. Sylvia's first family, Gone. Sylvia's second family, mostly gone. They were lost and gone.
Both Sylvia and Serenity knew the words that had not been spoken. The terrible words that should not be spoken. The Deadly Truth....
