Tsukishima's gaze locked onto his supposed father, Hiroshi, as the room fell into a heavy silence. The weight of his bitterness and skepticism lingered in the air, each word thick with the pain of abandonment. His arms remained firmly crossed, an impenetrable barrier shielding his wounded heart.

Hiroshi met Tsukishima's gaze with a gaze that was ice-cold, with just a subtle hint of underlying sadness. His voice carried a measured authority, his words resonating with a tone that demanded attention. "Kei and Akitaru... I know I haven't been there for either of you, especially you, Kei," he admitted, his voice tinged with a deep regret that he struggled to conceal. "But I want you to understand that I'm here now. I want to make things right and be a father to you both."

Tsukishima's eyes narrowed further, his skepticism still lingering. He scrutinized Hiroshi's face, searching for any signs of sincerity. The coldness in Hiroshi's gaze made it difficult for Tsukishima to fully trust his intentions. Deep down, he yearned for a connection with his father, a relationship that had been absent for far too long. Yet, he couldn't ignore the years of hurt and disappointment that shaped his view of Hiroshi.

Days turned into weeks, and Hiroshi remained persistent in his efforts to mend the fractured relationship with his sons. He showed up day after day, reaching out to Tsukishima with a mix of gentle encouragement and genuine remorse. Despite Hiroshi's attempts, Tsukishima's heart remained guarded. They barely spoke to each other, and their interactions were limited to polite exchanges and distant acknowledgement.

Conversations between Tsukishima and Hiroshi remained superficial, lacking the depth needed to bridge the emotional chasm that separated them. Tsukishima maintained a stoic facade , keeping his father at arm's length. He was hesitant to fully accept Hiroshi as his father, still plagued by doubts and guarded emotions.

However, amidst the fractured relationship with his father, Tsukishima found solace and purpose on the volleyball court.
